Does your house need to have its roof replaced?

We thought that it was time that our house needs to have its roof replaced. If you live in Lamont County, or close to it, and you need your roof fixed, consider Best West Roofing (@ bestwestroofing.com ). I spoke to Dean Stokes about having our roof done, on Friday, June 12th.  He and his crew showed up the following Monday. They were done with replacing the shingles on our roof a day later, in the afternoon. Everything was cleaned up, and not a trace of them having done any work was left, other than our roof having new shingles.

Mother Earth is a concept of the stone age

Today someone asserted: All is evolution….. for good and bad. We can either accept what is (there is only now) and continue our journey to self-knowledge and healing in order to affect change both within and without and/or we can make an attempt to make some difference in the way we behave in the world, in society and within our family of origin. The first and most important journey has to be within. What will be will be…. we have come too far now in terms of destruction of mother earth to save it, whether in 20 years or 200….. or 2000…. Ruth’s tomato plants are spreading out and take up more space by the day in the house. Believe it or not, in a couple of days we will be able to move them outside to the cold-bed. The forecast is for warmer weather, +19°C, and sometimes at this time of the year the forecast is correct.   #AlbertaSpring See also: … Continue reading

Norton problems make life miserable

Norton problems make life involving a PC miserable.  The problems that the filtering and blocking by O2 and Symantec (the latter are the makers of Norton Internet Security and Norton Antivirus) of pro-male human-rights websites causes are not all. Read this article by Angry Harry at the indicated link. Problems with Norton Internet Security By Angry Harry It must have been about 13 years ago when I first underwent the horrors that Norton Internet Security inflicted upon me. It crashed my computer endlessly, slowed it down to a snail’s pace – with the hard drive whirring away for minutes at a time – and my download speeds on the internet … Continue reading

A Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year

A Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year, to all friends and visitors to Dads & Things and its related website Fathers for Life. In the last few weeks I responded to very few of the about 300 e-mail messages a day received by Fathers for Life.  I still try to read all of those messages, but I had to forgo writing responses, so as to find much-needed time for completing a few neglected house-keeping chores for Fathers for Life: A little over a hundred web pages at Fathers for Life still needed to be converted to the standard web-page design that was first introduced in the beginning … Continue reading
