Recipient of the O2/Symantec Recognition Award
Yes, the website for Fathers for Life and its affiliated blogs are being slandered and censored.
Whether you are a fathers-rights activist, a pro-family activist or a skeptic of environmental alarmism, it is quite likely that your website or blog is being slandered and censored, too. It is being done on the sly. No one will tell you about it. If it happened, you will have been found guilty and were sentenced in the Star-Chamber court of a multinational corporation (by an obscure clerk, in an obscure office), and it is not likely that you will be able to appeal. Check the rating of your website or blog. I had asked O2 to review and explain their website rating policy in regard to Fathers for Life. They did not respond.-

Speed test : Censorship is free speech
“Welcome to the new Orwellian world where censorship is free speech and we respect the past by attempting to elide it.” The introductory quote, Censorship is free speech, is from the article indicated here: Shall We Defend Our Common History? February 2019 • Volume 48, Number 2 • Roger Kimball Roger Kimball Editor and Publisher, The New Criterion At Imprimis, the free monthly speech digest of Hillsdale College. The article relates to the oppression of free speech at universities. It speaks for itself, rather well. Here is the opening: The recent news that the University of Notre Dame, responding to complaints by some students, would “shroud” its twelve 134-year-old murals … Continue reading

Freedom of expression vs Identity politics and censorship
Individual rights and freedom of expression took thousands of years to evolve. They made civilization great and held the promise to make it greater yet. Facebook is out to dismantle much of the progress in attaining universal free speech. Instead, Facebook promotes speech codes and censorship. Those are to freedom of expression what shackles and prisons are to freedom of movement. That is not progress, it is regress. Human nature strives to achieve improvement, perfection, with the limits to that only being set by human imagination, and that is limited only by human ingenuity. No flights of unlimited human imagination are achievable by using anyone’s “community standards” that constrain freedom … Continue reading

Facebook censorship ruled unconstitutional — Germany
Update 201 81 09 14: Made addendum , to identify that FB blocked Claudia Kirn Translation of Zeit Online Article Re: Facebook Community Standards — Facebook censorship ruled unconstitutional — A landmark decision by the Higher Regional Court in Munich, Germany — Alas, it is as of now a temporary injunction against Facebook. –Start of translation– Higher Regional Court Munich [Germany] Facebook may not remove comments at will The social network must respect the freedom of expression when deleting contributions. The Higher Regional Court of Munich decision to that end thereby supported the opinion of a female AfD [AfD: Alternative for Germany] politician. 6. Internet censorship affects all, censors and censored
Providers of search engines and of social media have the power to influence, controls and steers what all of the people in the world must think and talk about in their everyday activities. Such power vastly exceeds that of Big Brother described by George Orwell in ‘1984’. Continue reading
FB censorship under pretense of unsolicited help
FB censorship in the guise of help no one asked for is still censorship. FB may claim it is not, but it is one of the worst sort. It is insidious. FB censorship and censorship by Google, so as to direct and control what information we should get access to and even what we are to think or be concerned about, is a reality that should be of great concern to lovers of freedom of expression and of freedom of choice. There are growing concerns about that. Decades, about 80 years ago, prescient, those concerns were expressed in this: “In the end the Party would announce that two and two … Continue reading

Censorship, FB joined Google in collaboration
Censorship by Google and Facebook is a reality that should be of great concern to lovers of freedom of expression and of freedom of choice. It made me glad to see that Tucker Carlson (an American conservative political commentator for Fox News) and Mark Steyn (a Canadian author and political commentator) joined to discuss the social-media cartel’s increasing control of the Internet, and of ideas. Justice needs to be done in describing the combined influence of Google and FB. It is not merely deliberate censorship that rules all. Some of it happens by accident or perhaps on account of opportunities, an unavoidable consequence of a society that transformed itself, from having conversations via … Continue reading

FB censorship, threat of, causes concern
FB censorship exists, it happens, and its direction and methods should concern us. It makes me wonder and a bit apprehensive, but of the relatively infrequent announcements and advisories that FB addresses to me now and then, there was one I read this morning. I did not copy it, but I remember some of what it contained, a hint, a faint impression of a threat of censorship. It made me feel apprehensive and confused. I have no idea why FB sent me what appears to be a reminder. Checking the FB Community Standards against what I have been trying to do all along is no help. I checked them before … Continue reading

Google search bias quantified, constitutes censorship
Last updated 2017 09 22, to show updated Google Analytics data and to reflect those in the subsequent Observations. The article identified here indicates that a substantial bias by Google Search exists and is obvious and measurable. The bias is in essence censorship of conservative websites (making information that they present difficult to find or causing links to such information on conservative websites to be effectively absent from search-return lists) versus ranking items that fit the liberal agenda to be high and at the top of search-return lists. The article analyzes that issue, but the analysis is a bit shallow. Some examples are indicated in the article, but those are … Continue reading

Website Censorship by O2 – Update
Website censorship is real. Today I updated the second widget in the sidebar at the right, “Recipient of the O2/Symantec Recognition Award”, to reflect that the address had been changed for the O2 URL-checker – by which O2’s website ratings as to whether a given website is rated “Blocked” or not can be checked. The censorship by O2 is for all practical intents and purposes still in effect. Certainly, if O2 were to respond to inquiries (they don’t) as to why the blocking of the website of Fathers for Life and that of its blog is still in effect, they would argue that no censorship on their part exists. Nevertheless, … Continue reading

Update on anti-male Internet censorship
Updated 2019 04 19, to add links to related articles. Update on anti-male Internet censorship A few PC problems, such as trying to overcome the tendency of my laptop to crash when I was trying to back it up, prevented me from being very active on Facebook or on this blog, while at the same time there are things that need to be done outside, in the garden, but for now I have a chance to catch my breath. Trying to catch up on what was happening in the outside world, yesterday and today, I found that the men’s rights movement is increasingly becoming aware of the intensification of the … Continue reading
