Being entitled: You are entitled, wrote an Indian agitator

Update 2018 08 23: Added links to related articles Being entitled: You are entitled, wrote an Indian agitator, and stated, “Apology to a white supremacist like you? You are not only deluded but entitled too. Well, they go hand in hand.” I guess that merely being of European descent, Caucasian, makes me a white supremacist.  I confess, I had provoked the man, by writing just prior to that, after he had asked me for a favour, I am still a bit too tired, recuperating from the baseless insults I received, and tired of waiting for a heart-felt apology. After what you had called me, in public… “Dear Walter”, on a one-to-one … Continue reading

Note 2013 04 09 19:45 hrs: Sorry for being held up with fixing what needed to be fixed.  There was an error in the coding for https://fathersforlife.org/Site_Stats/2006-2013_F4L_web-stats.htm  It caused the display around item # 8 to be a bit muddled.  That has now been repaired. The statistics summary provides insights on the changing status of the ten most-popular subject areas discussed at F4L.  If you every wondered whether you should be or remain an activist for … Continue reading

Killing-off North Carolina’s State RPSs

Killing-off North Carolina’s State RPSs By John Droz (via e-mail) Friends: This is not an April Fool’s email! Please go here to read AWED’s latest Energy & Environmental Newsletter. (If that link is busy try this.) Our newsletter should be at MasterResource every third Monday. —————- My focus at the moment is to try to repeal North Carolina’s Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) known as Senate Bill 3. This is a long story (good NC citizens have been working on this for about a year and a half), but there is a very good chance that H298 will pass. If so, NC will … Continue reading

Global warming — something worth worrying over?

Update 2018 08 24: Expanded introductory paragraph, added links to related articles. Global warming — something worth worrying over?  Now that the global average temperatures have stagnated over the last 16 years (21 years as of 2018), is there still any cause for alarm? I suppose there would be if the long-term temperature trend were rising, but it is? Legend of acronyms used for the trend lines in the preceding graph: GISP: Greenland Ice Sheet Project GISP2: The follow-up U.S. GISP2 project Moberg: “Highly … Continue reading
