Sins of the mother — Updates

Originally posted 2006 10 20 at Fathers for Life Updated 2018 09 29: Added links to related articles Sins of the mother — Updates • It’s a familiar story. Locality, circumstances, name and age of the dead child change, some things don’t when mothers kill. Sins of the mother Barbara Kay, National Post Published: Wednesday, October 11, 2006 We have heard the story before. The names change, the province changes, the particulars of the custody case change, the age of the dead child changes, but some things stay the same when a mother kills her own children: Any objective observer can see the tragedy coming a mile away, the children are … Continue reading

Men’s rights organization are being bought

Men’s rights organization are being bought A Swedish fathers rights activist commented in an e-mail message: Other men’s rights organizations/father groups can be bought, since they are [government-]funded, and in order to be [government-]funded in Sweden as a representative for men, you have to sign a document verifying [the existence of] male violence against women. Yes, I agree.  To some extent and in a broader context, it is a universal problem.  Many organizers try their hardest to obtain official and legal charitable status for their organizations.  That applies not only to fathers rights organizations but to all service organizations.  The organizers do that because they believe that they can derive … Continue reading

High-school reunion

High-school reunion Mary, Betty and Cathy were in their seventies and met at a high-school reunion, the first one they happened to attend since they had graduated. “So, Mary,” said Betty, “you were the one we had figured would be the very first of us to get married.  How did you make out?”  To which Mary replied, “Well, no.  I never did get married. I never did find my prince-charming. How about you, Betty?” Betty told her friends that she had married, but that – unfortunately – her husband had passed on, “However,” she said “I still love him dearly, visit his grave on a daily basis, weed it, make … Continue reading

Hell is real if we try. Be careful what you ask for.

Last update: 2018 09 30 Hell is real if we try.  Be careful what you ask for. A young lady came home from a date, rather sad. She told her mother, “Jeff proposed to me, an hour ago.” “Then why are you so sad?” her mother asked. “Because he also told me he was an atheist. Mom, he doesn’t even believe there’s a hell.” Her mother replied, “Marry him anyway. Between the two of us, we’ll show him how wrong he is about there being no hell.” #Humour #HellCanBeReal See also: High-school reunion … a time to die Survived by his wife ‘Bad Dog!’ – A Political Satire THE INTERNATIONAL MALE … Continue reading

Glenn Beck – The Dangers of Fabian Socialism

Updated 2018 10 01 Glenn Beck explains Fabian Socialism.  Fabian socialism or Fabianism is socialism without the revolutionary reform by force called for in Marxism.  It still leads to the same end. … a time to die

… a time to die The following story is one of many my Aunt Thekla, oldest sister of my Dad, told when I was old enough to appreciate some of her experiences as co-owner of the vintner-supply business she ran with her husband in the Ahr Valley, in Ahrweiler, Germany, a region known for producing good red wines. The old vintner, Henry, had finally come to the end of his days.  He had grown his vines, tended to them, growing and harvesting the grapes, squeezing every single one of them, so not a drop of must would be wasted. Henry had quite literally worked his heart out, producing some of … Continue reading

Overwhelmed by demands for more child support

Overwhelmed by demands for more child support Just about every day I receive requests for help with issues relating to child-custody and child-support, often quite a few of such requests on a given day. The following message is an example, and my response is appended. On 29/09/2010 1:07 PM, Tom [not his real name] wrote: Hi guys, I really need help right now… The ex is asking for more money after almost 7 year of paiements being done EVERY month. She moved away 12 hours from here, in another province (i live in canada) with her new boyfriend in the army and now tells me she has the kids (2 … Continue reading
