Abuse of the Elderly
September 12, 2011 by Walter Schneider.
This blog entry is about abuse and neglect of the elderly by relatives and, perhaps even more importantly, elderly abuse — often fatal — by governments.
The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’ – Ronald Reagan
In connection with the topic of this entry, there is an equally hard-hitting reality:
How sharper than a serpent’s tooth it is to have an ungrateful child. — King Lear. Shakespeare
Be careful that things such as those reported in the following article will not happen to you.
The Abuse of Grandma B – How Corrupt Officials are plundering the Assets of the Elderly
The Abuse of Grandma B – a sad story told by Peter Hofschröer
Grandma B is now 82 years old. She is wheelchair-bound and very frail. The past three years of her life have been horrendous. She lost her husband of 60 years, but that was the easy part. She has also been the victim of sustained and systematic abuse in which she has been defrauded of her house, subjected to threats and harassment because she will not hand over her life savings to her abusers, then unlawfully evicted from her house and stranded abroad, with her abusers trying, fortunately unsuccessfully, to fraudulently sell her house.
You may well ask who would do such an awful thing to a little, old lady in a wheelchair. Sadly, most abuse takes place within the family and this is very much the case here. The main abusers are Grandma B’s older son, his wife and her two adult grandchildren. (More)
The article chronicles the abuse and defrauding of Grandma B by one of her sons, his wife and some adult grandchildren, but that is not the least of the story. The son and his children are conspiring with the governments to defraud Grandma B of her assets, and avariety of government departments and agencies have become willing and eager accomplices in a whole slew of crimes directed agaist Grandma B.
Sadly the abuse of Grandma B is not an isolated incident. It is endemic in many nations.
About 20 years ago, the administrator of hospital in Alberta, who used to stop by at our place on the way home from from work, told me: “Walter, today I found 30 healthy people in the hospital.” He waited for a reaction, and I said, “Well, that should not be out of the ordinary. After all, the purpose of a hospital is to produce healthy people.”
He responded, “Yes, and then those healthy people should be send back home, but in this case some of them have been residing as healthy people, in the hospital, for years, while the hospital earned $1,500 a day for each of them.”
How is something like that possible or even justified? Why would those people wish to reside in a hospital, even though they were healthy? Our neighbour explained that in every case the relatives of those healthy “patients”, who at one time had legitimate reasons for being in the hospital, found that, when they wished to go home, there was no home for them to go back to. Their relatives had finagled to sell their homes and assets during those people’s convalescence in the hospital.
Our neighbour eventually managed to find more suitable accommodation for those 30 defrauded people, but he agreed that such abuse of the elderly is endemic.
You may wonder what happens in a hospital that needs the beds occupied by healthy “patients” when the demand for hospital services exceeds the supply, such as when the government implement cost-saving measures that involves cuts in health-care funding.
Some years ago the circumstances surrounding that issue in the largest hospital district in London, England, attracted considerable media attention. The complaints were that elderly people would enter hospital with minor complaints, such as an arthritic knee, and leave in short order in a pine box, the consequence of the solution to the problem: “Sedate, withhold food and liquids.”
In an interview by the media, the hospital administrators response was: “What do you expect us to do? We need the beds.”
Although euthanasia of the elderly is illegal in England, it is alive and well there.
You may think that the problem does not occur where you live, but consider this situation.
“Each year, an estimated 10,000 patients die in Canadian hospitals as a result of staff errors, while a further 20,000 die from “nonpreventable adverse events,” such as hospital infections and unexpected drug complications. Some research indicates that another 20,000, give or take, may die of unforeseen or preventable causes while under care outside hospitals.
These staggering figures are extrapolated from data collected in the United States, Britain and Australia, but are widely accepted as reasonable approximations. In 1999 the U.S. Institute of Medicine estimated that up to 98,000 Americans a year die in hospital due to medical errors, and another million are injured. A 2000 study found that adverse events cause patient harm in ten percent of hospital admissions in Britain, amounting to 850,000 times a year.” –Tragedy of Errors, Reader’s Digest, Canadian Edition, Dec. 2003, p. 76 (Originally published Dec.30, 2002 in MacLean’s)
In case you have trouble doing the addition of the numbers, that adds up to about 50,000 fatalities a year that are caused by the Canadian health care system. Obviously, the situation in the U.S. is very similar. If you are concerned, as eventually you too will be at risk (if you are not already), there is more about all of that here: “Neglected to Death”.

Child protection system tears two more families apart
July 18, 2011 by Walter Schneider.
Daily Telegraph
Attention: Christopher Booker
Re: Child protection system tears two more families apart, by Christopher Booker, 16 Jul 2011
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/family/8642651/Child-protection-system-tears-two-more-families-apart.html
The latest official figures show that the number of children being taken into care by social workers (now averaging more than 800 a month) has soared in the past two years by 41 per cent, to its highest ever level. In many of these cases, it seems that children are torn from their parents for no good reason, to such an extent that this has become one of the most disturbing scandals in our country today.
I read the article again, and it still bothers me. I have a lot of respect for Christopher Booker, the journalist who wrote it. Nevertheless, he is not an objective observer.
It is obvious that Christopher Booker cannot liberate himself from the father-hostile bias that decades of feminist indoctrination and strict adherence to the western chivalry code instilled in many but especially in many journalists whose expressions are constrained and formed by feminist censorship of the media organizations they write for.
The photo accompanying the article shows a mother and child, thereby invoking a subconscious image of the Madonna and Child. That is a deliberate choice, probably an editorial decision.
The article mentions the word “mother” 13 times, the word “father” only once (but only “the father of her youngest child”, not the father or fathers of the older two children of the mother), the word “family” (or families) twice, once in the heading and once in the text of the article, and the word “parents” four times.
The impression that leaves, of course, is that fathers don’t matter, that mothers do, that it is deplorable that the government should dare to violate the bond between a mother and child, and that the paternal feelings of fathers don’t matter, that fathers matter so little that they don’t even need to be mentioned.
Things get no better in the article in relation to what constitutes a family. A family only needs a mother and her child. That completes the Madonna-and-Child image. To introduce fathers into that sacred icon would spoil things, wouldn’t it now? It would diminish the appeal to the emotions over the pain of the mothers the article discusses and downplay their struggle against the excessive totalitarian force exercised against the mothers.
Sorry, Christopher Booker, as objective as you may feel you are, the feminist slip that very much influences your thinking and the way you express yourself is showing. If you don’t believe me, just check a few more of the articles you wrote on family issues. They are more akin to promoting a Madonna cult than objective commentaries that do justice to both sexes. I wonder why you do it; did you ever wonder about that? Did you ever feel the pain of having a child ripped from you? Believe me, if you were a father having that done to you, it would hurt very much, and it would matter not a whit whether it had been done by the government, the mother of the child or both in collusion.
One more thing, in relation to the observation in the article “that children are torn from their parents for no good reason, to such an extent that this has become one of the most disturbing scandals in our country today.” Don’t you find it odd that ever since the divorce epidemic began, children have been ripped from their fathers “on the flimsiest pretexts” and often with no excuses at all, and that that never raised the slightest concern with many, let alone apprehension that it might be scandalous?
Sincerely,
Walter Schneider

Judicial second-thoughts on pussy-pass

Judicial second-thoughts on pussy-pass for killing husband…
Appeal sought on husband killer’s sentence

THE sentence imposed on an Adelaide woman who escaped jail after killing her cheating and abusive husband by setting him on fire would fail to deter others, a court has heard….(Full Story)
__________
She murdered her husband. She did it deliberately. It was premeditated. Still Rajini Narayan was let go, to be under Correctional Services supervision for two years, and to undertake psychological counselling as ordered.
Now the lawyers get another chance to earn more money by talking this case to death, while the outcome is most likely still a foregone conclusion: Women are incapable of committing crimes, because there is always an excuse, while when men commit crimes of equal severity there is never an excuse. Travesty of Justice — Murderer Walks
April 26, 2011 by Walter Schneider.
AdelaideNow, April 13, 2011Penis-burning wife Rajini Narayan walks free
It was predictable and predicted accurately. Again, a murderess or (if you don’t want that sexist term) a murderer walks, proving once more that women are incapable of committing crimes, especially the crime of murder.
She murdered her husband. She did it deliberately. It was premeditated.
However, in the latest hearing in a series that was nothing more than a travesty of justice, the murderer was set free, because — and you better believe it as it surely must be so on account of a judge assuring it on the basis of the true victim’s unsubstantiated assertions — she is the real victim, and not the husband whom she deliberately murdered by throwing gasoline on him and setting it on fire,
Therefore:
In sentencing today, Justice Sulan said Narayan had “deified” her husband and was “shattered” by his betrayal.
He said there was “no doubt” her thinking at the time was “unrealistic, muddled and illogical”.
“For the first time in your life you had confronted your husband, had found the courage to be assertive to the person who had mistreated you for 20 years,” he said.
“His response was to treat you with disdain, dismiss you and turn his back to you (and) you snapped.”
Justice Sulan further ordered Narayan be under Correctional Services supervision for two years, and undertake psychological counselling as ordered.
There you got it, straight from the judge’s mouth: women are not possibly capable of murder.
There is never an excuse when men murder. When women murder, no excuse is necessary. It is a waste of the valuable time of our courts to even have to contemplate excuses when women murder. Women cannot and do not commit murders.

U.K.: Shout at spouse, lose the house

British High Court Expands ‘Domestic Violence’ to Include Shouting and Criticizing
January 27th, 2011 by Robert Franklin, Esq.
It’s hard to overstate the reach of the British Supreme Court’s ruling in this case (Daily Mail, 1/27/11). It was decided on Thursday and from that date all aspects of domestic violence law have been completely changed….
Seventh, let no one be deceived into believing that this ruling will be applied in a gender-neutral way. Domestic violence law hasn’t been to date and this ruling will be more of the same. For over four decades, men and fathers have been demonized in law, education and popular culture. The result is that, when women bring a claim of domestic violence, they are often believed whether they back up their claims with objective evidence or not. Men, having been demonized, get no such privilege. So the consequences of this ruling will be sexist, overwhelmingly used by women at the expense of men.
Don’t believe me? Just look at the photo in the linked-to article. Who’s depicted shouting?….(Full Story)
h/t Roger Eldridge
Robert Franklin concludes his article by stating, “If Parliament fails to immediately correct this travesty of “justice,” the consequences to British society will be incalculable.”
That, of course, will not happen, therefore the damage will be incalculable. If you wonder why that is so, then you are part of the problem.
At any rate, the article describes nothing other than feminist jurisprudence in action. Feminist jurisprudence is driven by misandry and enables women to commit violence by proxy without having to soil their hands and without having to exert themselves in any other fashion.

Texan declared innocent after 30 years in prison
January 4, 2011 by Walter Schneider.
statesman.com; Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011
By JEFF CARLTON
The Associated Press
DALLAS — A Texas man declared innocent Tuesday after 30 years in prison had at least two chances to make parole and be set free — if only he would admit he was a sex offender. But Cornelius Dupree Jr. refused to do so, doggedly maintaining his innocence in a 1979 rape and robbery, in the process serving more time for a crime he didn’t commit than any other Texas inmate exonerated by DNA evidence.
“Whatever your truth is, you have to stick with it,” Dupree, 51, said Tuesday, minutes after a Dallas judge overturned his conviction….(Full Story)

…good will toward men?
December 25, 2010 by Walter Schneider.
From the website of the Family of Men Support Society:
“NO MEN ALLOWED”
Misandry at the government level (City of Calgary , Province of Alberta , Government of Canada ) and at community level agencies. No Men Allowed to participate at any meetings, therefore male victims of female-perpetrated domestic violence are denied a voice.
The system is autocratic, exclusive & misandrist.
The system is not democratic, inclusive or open minded.
