Is the world overpopulated?

At the website for Fathers for Life, the web page that displays population pyramids for selected countries is the sixth-most-popular web page at the site.

That web page has a footnote I thought to quote in the following.  I want to show the footnote because of an addition I made to it today on account of something I read that supports the assertions I made in the footnote.  I had said that all of the world’s population could fit into a land area the size of Alberta, with a house for each family (of three, on average) and enough land for each house to supply some of the food each family needs.

I know that some people feel that assertions like the ones I made are ridiculous, but, believe it or not, what I read today makes the assertions I made look puny.

Read the footnote and the information I found today.

Is the world overpopulated?

If all of the world’s people were located in the Province of Alberta (just a touch smaller in area than the State of Texas) and each were to have an equal share of all of the land in Alberta, then each of the world’s people would have 98.6m2 of land to live on.

Assuming that the average household consists of three people, a family of three would have enough space (3,184 ft2) for a moderately-sized house and a garden large enough to grow some of the food consumed by the family.

  • Alberta land area: 661,565 km2, 255,541 miles2
  • World population: 6,706,993,152 (Source: CIA World Factbook, July 2008 est.)

See also: The 1989 Montreal Massacre in the context of men’s sacrifices, 2008 12 07, by Professor Jeffrey Asher.

Update 2010 08 26: I don’t know whether anyone ever read the assertions contained in this footnote.  If the assertions were read, then everyone having read them must have thought that they were so outrageous and so totally-out-to-lunch that they were not even worth commenting on, because no one ever commented on them.  That is odd, given that so many people claim that humanity must be drastically reduced so as to avert ecological catastrophes of epic proportions.  However, consider something else, Phytofarm, that is: farming by means of the use of artificial light.

At the current efficiency of PhytoFarm, the entire present population of the world can be supplied from a square area about 140 miles on a side - about the area of Massachusetts and Vermont combined, and less than a tenth of Texas. This represents only about a thousandth as much land as is needed for agriculture at present (give or take a factor of four; for illustrative purposes greater exactitude is unnecessary). And if for some reason that seems like too much space, you can immediately cut the land space by a factor of ten: just build food factories ten stories high, which should present no more problems that a ten-story office building. You could economize even more and build a hundred stories high, like the Empire State Building or the Sears Tower. Then the surface area needed would be no more than the space within the corporate limits of Austin, Texas, to pick the first alphabetically among the many U.S. cities large enough.
PhytoFarm techniques could feed a hundred times the world’s present population - say 500 billion people - with factory buildings a hundred stories high, on one percent of present farmland. [My emphasis — WHS]  To put it differently, if you raise your bed to triple bunk-bed height, you can grow enough food on the two levels between the floor and your bed to supply your nutritional needs.

The Ultimate Resource II: People, Materials, and Environment (1998), by Julian L. Simon
CHAPTER SIX, WHAT ARE THE LIMITS ON FOOD PRODUCTION?

I know, I know.  You must think about where all of the energy to produce the required light will be coming from.  Never fear, Julian Simon thought of that.  Read the book and you will find out.  Come on!  If you are sufficiently worried about over-population that you feel driven to stop reproducing and even try to limit other people’s wish to propagate, you must be interested enough to read just one book.  No?  You mean you have your mind so firmly made up that no facts will confuse you?

Update 2010 09 01: Well, you seem to be ready to accept some facts.  Here is an essay that will convince you, if any convincing is necessary, and confirms that the world is not running out of anything and will not run out of anything even if the size of the world population grows to several times its present size:

There Is No Shortage of Stuff

Functionally Unlimited Resources Exist

The worry is often put forward that we are going to run out of resources. That as population increases we just MUST run out of stuff. In this article I will be presenting a selection of examples of why this is not so. Please remember that this is far from a complete list. I have left out more resources and technologies than I’ve put in the article. These are just a sample sufficient to prove the thesis, the others were left out not due to lack of merit, but due to lack of space….(Full Story)

The reality of communist ideology

Glenn Beck produced a documentary that many people who do not watch Fox TV have not seen, but they should.

Ideology is a concept that is somewhat related to idealism.  For some confused people the two concepts are interchangeable.

Ideology:

1 : visionary theorizing
2 a : a systematic body of concepts especially about human life or culture b : a manner or the content of thinking characteristic of an individual, group, or culture c : the integrated assertions, theories and aims that constitute a sociopolitical program
(Merriam Webster OnLine)

Idealism:

1 a (1) : a theory that ultimate reality lies in a realm transcending phenomena (2) : a theory that the essential nature of reality lies in consciousness or reason b (1) : a theory that only the perceptible is real (2) : a theory that only mental states or entities are knowable
2 a : the practice of forming ideals or living under their influence b : something that is idealized
3 : literary or artistic theory or practice that affirms the preeminent value of imagination as compared with faithful copying of nature — compare realism
(Merriam Webster OnLine)

What do the following people have in common?

  • Karl Marx and Frederick Engels (the authors of the Manifesto of the Communist Party, 1848, calling for a bloody revolution that would bring about the rule of the proletariat)
  • Josef Stalin (his regime murdered about 30 million people, about 20 million of them before he became an ally in the fight against Hitler)
  • Adolf Hitler (his regime murdered 6 million people)
  • Che Guevara (Cuban revolutionary, a cold-blooded killer who personally murdered close to 200 people)
  • Mao Zedong (his regime murdered at least 30 million people)

All of them shared the criminality of communism.  They all shared the same ideology.  They only differed in the number of people they murdered.

That message comes across loud and clear in Glenn Beck’s documentary The Revolutionary Holocaust, Live free… or die (five parts, 42 minutes)

In his documentary, Glenn Beck demonstrates that it has become fashionable to promote the images and ideology of Marxism, Che Guevara and Mao Zedong, and that even George Bernard Shaw was quite outspoken in calling for the atrocities that mass-murderers like Stalin, Hitler and Mao turned into reality.

What Glenn Beck shows goes far beyond mere misguided fashionable statements printed on bikinis and T-shirts.  It has become part of the political doctrine that is being preached by a many misguided political figures.

As great as Glenn Beck’s documentary is, it would be even better if he could expand his documentary to show, for instance, that the doctrine of radical feminism quite literally uses quotes verbatim from the teachings of Frederick Engels (see also Friedrich Engels and Simone de Beauvoir, the shining apostles of contemporary family politics).

A request for an interview

Bill [not his real name] wrote:

Dear President or Chair person,

I’m [name omitted], a student of the [location omitted] Film School.

I’m going to make a 10 minutes mini documentary about marriage life of Man.

I came from Korea and had run Korean Fathers Club for 10 years before I moved to Canada. So I have quite a keen interest in fatherhood.

According to your research, about 75 % divorces are being initiated by women.

I would like to interview about this matter

It won’t be long and it will take 2 hours maximum.

This film will show that why young people hesitate [to enter] marriage.

Your prompt reply would be highly appreciated.

Thanks and Regard

Hello Bill [not his real name],

Thanks for writing,

The research you referred to is not mine.  I just reported on it.  The research was done by the authors of the studies mentioned in the article that may have sparked your interest.  (Unfortunately, you failed to identify which specific article out many on the topic at our website it was that you referred to.)

You can find more details on the statistics of concern in the following (source location):

Shattered Myths

When it comes to child custody, Canadian divorce law is weighted in favour of the wife.  But new research has stripped women of their moral superiority: It suggests they initiate divorce twice as often as men. (Alberta Report, Jan 11, 1999; the article is no longer available at the website of the Alberta report.  It is now available here.  2003 03, —WHS)

See also the study report “These Boots are Made for Walking: Why Wives File for Divorce,” by Margaret F. Brinig and Douglas W. Allen.  The article quotes extensively from that report.

  • These Boots are Made for Walking: Why Wives File for Divorce,” by Margaret F. Brinig and Douglas W. Allen.

This study report is based on an analysis of 46,000 divorce certificates from Connecticut, Virginia, Oregon and Montana.  The authors state that the data from these records are relatively accurate, “since they are compiled by judicial personnel from facts alleged by the parties and proven based upon sworn testimony in court hearings.”  [My emphasis, —WHS]
That would reflect assumptions that all allegations are true, that only sworn true testimony is being accepted by the courts, and that the judicial system is absolutely neutral and doesn’t exhibit any gender bias.  Because all three of those assumptions are patently false, it is debatable to what extent the conclusions by the author are accurate, namely that although often the act of filing for divorce is being motivated by considerations of material gain through seizing assets, it is also driven to a considerable extent by the wish to escape exploitation.  The impression is given that in the latter case it is the wife who has the impression that she is being exploited by her husband.

The authors found that “who gets the children is by far the most important component in deciding who files for divorce, particularly when there is very little quarrel about property, as when the separation is long.”  Although the authors report that women file more often for divorce, by far, and increasingly so, they purport that this is so because women generally are more attached to the children of the marriage than the fathers are.

Information from the report was extensively quoted in Shattered Myths.

MS Word files containing the study report are available at

Caution: The footnotes weren’t shown when I displayed the files using MS Word6 on my PC.  However, the printouts of the files contained all of the footnotes.

The study report by Brinig and Allen is also available in HTML (abstract) and in PDF format (full text — 189 kB).

I suggest that you read the study report by Brinig and Allen, and that you then try to arrange for an interview with them.

For some constructive alternatives to that, I suggest that you contact Stephen Baskerville, the author of “Taken into Custody: The War Against Fatherhood, Marriage And Family.“  He has researched and written extensively for a considerable number of years on the issue of fatherhood.  His website is at http://www.stephenbaskerville.net/

A discussion of marriage and fatherhood lacks in an important aspect if it leaves out divorced and expunged fathers, that is, fatherhood (or the lack of it) for children of divorce.  Feminist propaganda tells us that fathers routinely and overwhelmingly walk out of their marriages and their children’s lives.

A thorough debunking of that feminist, propagandistic maxim is contained in a book you should also familiarize yourself with before interviewing either Brinig, Allen or Baskerville.  That book is based on the findings of extensive, government-sponsored research done by Sanford Braver.

Braver, Sanford Ph.D. — Divorced Dads: Shattering the Myths : The Surprising Truth About Fathers, Children, and Divorce (Hardcover - 288 pages (October 1998) J P Tarcher; ISBN: 087477862X ) Review

According to Marty Witbeck: “…Buy extra copies for judges, key lawyers, and members of your state legislature.  Send a copy to your Governor, the Speaker of your House, and the presiding officer of your Senate.  Send a copy to each journalist writing on family issues in your local newspapers.  Send copies to the editors of those newspapers.”

The book reviews accessible at Amazon.com are few and short.  They do not do either the subject or the book full justice.  I wrote extensively and frequently about Sanford Braver’s book.  He and his book are mentioned in everyone of the articles on this list.

It is my understanding that Dr. Braver, too, is readily available for interviews.

It is not that I don’t wish to be interviewed by you, but the reality of it is that I am sufficiently well informed to be able to judge correctly that any or any combination of the individuals mentioned above (or any others like them) would be a far better choice for interviews.

I am getting on in age (74 years old), am very tired and have not done any original research (other than writing about the research done by others).  Most importantly, I have no academic credentials.  I would not be the best choice through which to promote objective knowledge about the issue of interest to you.

All the best,

Walter Schneider

P.S.: Much of the social research and the issues it relates to that I wrote about it somewhat dated.  That does not mean that the information pertaining to it is now false.  It is just as correct as it always was.

Things have become worse for fathers, families and marriage.  We see now some of the final battles in the war against the family.  That war is nothing other than an outcome of the agenda for the implementation of the planned destruction of the family.

By the way, and on a more personal level, I worked in Seoul, in 1961 and 1962, on the construction of the Kwang Wha Moon telephone switching exchange.  Perhaps that is why I was happy to accommodate a more recent comment from Korea about the issues of men and fathers.  Well, I can’t date that information quite exactly.  Normally I show the dates for when something was posted or updated but, for unknown reasons, not in this case.  Nevertheless, I believe that the information dates to about the time when you left Korea, for which reason you can probably relate to it fairly well.  Therefore, you will be able to determine to what extent things differ now with respect to how little men are respected in our society.  But that is not all.

Things are no longer the way they were for families and fathers in Korea when I was there or when you still were.  Things will become somewhat worse yet, before or if they become any better.  However, before any improvement takes place we will most likely have to endure a socialist, totalitarian world government through which we will all become normalized down to the lowest common denominator, the status of the poorest nations in the world.

The goal of the agenda for the implementation of the planned destruction of the family is the reduction of the world population down to 300 million to one billion people. –WHS

On-going custody battle

Today  a deserted and frustrated father wrote to me about his on-going attempts to follow his ex for thousands of miles, so as to be able to continue to play a role in his daughters’ life.

While the man was involved in custody hearings in a province in Central-Canada, his ex-common-law-wife had moved to a city in Western Canada.

Here is my response.

Hello Bill (not the real name),

As I read your account, the first thing that came to my mind is that you described a case of parental kidnapping.  Of course, I have no way of knowing whether a visitation agreement was in place then (you stated that you were fighting for one) and whether the visitation order included a provision for prohibiting one or the other parent from moving away from the other, beyond a specified distance or travelling time.

I am getting a bit too old for all of this (I am 73), but it appears that you are quite right, you need to get in touch with people in your locality.  There used to be about three organizations in Calgary that were active, but lately I have not heard much from or about them (MESA, Family of Men and ECMAS).

Here is the latest list I know that contains links to Alberta organizations, some of whom are located in Calgary.

http://www.canadianequalparentinggroups.ca/

From that:

Alberta
Fathers For Life (ours, near Edmonton)
Family of Men Support Society (Calgary)
Men’s Educational Support Association (M.E.S.A.) (Calgary)
Movement for the Establishment of Real Gender Equality (M.E.R.G.E.) (Edmonton, but that organization focuses primarily on equitable “gender” rights for all seven “genders”)
Orphaned Grandparents Association Resource Centre (near Edmonton, as far as I know)
The Equitable Child Maintenance and Access Society (E.C.M.A.S.) (Edmonton chapter; the founder was the same as that for MERGE; there was once a separate Calgary chapter that formed a separate organization under the same name after a rift with the Edmonton chapter had developed)

A few observations on Fathers Rights or Parenting Rights organizations

There are close to 50,000 active case files that are being held by Alberta Maintenance Enforcement.  Roughly one-third of those involves cases in the Calgary area, another third involves cases in the Edmonton area, and the remaining third involves the rest of the province.

I have been actively involved with fathers rights since about 1990, which led me in about 1994 to begin with the website Fathers for Life.

Right from the start I noticed that there was hardly ever more than about a dozen or a little more of truly active fathers rights activists in Alberta.  The largest public demonstrations that were ever held (in one case a picketing action in front of Anne McLellan’s constituency office) mustered no more than about 60 picketers from a large variety of organizations of whom some only remotely ever worried about fathers rights.

It can be argued that personal agendas and lack of charisma of the leaders led to low membership numbers of various Fathers Rights or Parenting Rights organizations, but it would be wrong to put too much blame in that respect on the leaders of such organizations.

The problem is universal.  It applies in all major Canadian cities and in all provinces across Canada.  The apathy exists as well in all of North America and throughout all of the developed nations.  Increasingly, the general apathy emerges in the developing nations.

It may be looked at as battle fatigue by people who wish to uphold family values in a culture that actively promotes an all-out war against the family; there is that and much more involved.  The website of Fathers for Life extensively explores the concept of the war against the family and related concepts that apply.

The fact remains that not only active participants and victims of judicial persecution such as you are largely apathetic, but that the general public is apathetic as well.  There is not a ground-swell of support for the family.  The lack of public support means that politicians do not have to give pro-family sentiments a great deal of attention, which is the major reason why for every dollar of funding for programs and actions in support of the family there are about a thousand dollars of funding to sponsor programs and actions that aim at dismantling and systematically deconstructing the institution of the traditional nuclear family.

Given the lack of concern by politicians, a plethora of government agencies has a free hand to pursue its family-hostile aims.  Those aims — let there be no mistake about it — strongly lean toward the extreme radical left.  Their leanings are strongly Marxist.  Marxism has throughout its existence been strongly anti-family.  That is not too surprising, as the historical roots of Marxism (an age-old yearning toward Paradise on Earth, that is, a socialist Utopia) have always been strongly anti-family.  Socialism, especially in totalitarian socialist regimes throughout history aimed at best at strong state-control of the family and at worst at the total abolition of the family.

Igor Shafarevich, a world-renowned mathematician and a contemporary of Alexander Solzhenitsyn expressed those ideas best, in his book The Socialist Phenomenon.

It would seem that socialist ideology has the ability to stamp widely separated or even historically unlinked socialist currents with indelible and stereotyped markings.

It seems to us quite legitimate to conclude that socialism does exist as a unified historical phenomenon. Its basic principles have been indicated above. They are:

  • Abolition of private property.
  • Abolition of the family.
  • Abolition of religion.
  • Equality, abolition of hierarchies in society.

The manifold embodiments of these principles are linked organically by a common spirit, by an identity of specific details and, frequently, by a clearly discernible overall thrust.

Our perspective on socialism takes into account only one of the dimensions in which this phenomenon unfolds. Socialism is not only an abstract ideological system but also the embodiment of that system in time and space. Therefore, having sketched in its outlines as an ideology, we now ought to be able to explain in what periods and within what civilization socialism arises, whether in the form of doctrine, popular movement or state structure. But here the answer turns out to be far less clear. While the ideology of socialism is sharply defined, the occurrence of socialism can hardly be linked to any definite time or civilization. If we consider the period in the history of mankind which followed the rise of the state as an institution, we find the manifestations of socialism, practically speaking, in all epochs and in all civilizations. It is possible, however, to identify epochs when socialist ideology manifests itself with particular intensity. This is usually at a turning point in history, a crisis such as the period of the Reformation or our own age. We could simply note that socialist states arise only in definite historical situations, or we could attempt to explain why it was that the socialist ideology appeared in virtually finished and complete form in Plato’s time. We shall return to these questions later. But in European history, we cannot point to a single period when socialist teachings were not extant in one form or another. It seems that socialism is a constant factor in human history, at least in the period following the rise of the state. Without attempting to evaluate it for the time being, we must recognize socialism as one of the most powerful and universal forces active in a field where history is played out.

All of that is a lot of information you did not ask for.  However, I feel that the best service I can provide for you is to put your personal experiences regarding the futility of your attempts to enforce your paternal “rights” into the context of the history of the social evolution and the apparent current decline of civilization.

A “fare-well” of sorts

This blog entry is intended only for the serious reader and student of human history and evolution.  Do not bother to read the rest of this entry if you do not like reading or if you merely seek judicial solutions to the damages caused by your divorce and child-custody issues.

Almost three months have gone by since I last posted an entry to dads & things, the blog of the popular website of Fathers for Life. Related to that, I also reduced the frequency of postings to the mailing list of Fathers for Life.

To keep up the frequency of the postings and updates, at the levels to which people had become accustomed to, as well as staying on top of the hundreds of e-mail messages that arrived daily in our inbox, required between 16 to 20 hours of work each day. Obviously and ultimately, that was more than I could cope with.

Little harm is done by me not answering requests for help and information.  Virtually all of the answers I can give are available at the website of Fathers for Life.  Surely, anyone who seeks answers can find them at that website.  Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and so, as the home page of that website clearly states, is Fathers for Life.  No one expects to be led by the hand to explore Wikipedia….

If anyone wishes to get in touch with me, I still answer my telephone.  People frequently do get in touch by phone.  I gladly sit down at my PC to illustrate to them how to navigate the website of Fathers for Life, explaining to them over the phone which links to follow, while I also offer some common-sense advice to those who appear to be in need of it.

That sort of help is much more and better than what was available to me when I went through my separation and divorce, close to 35 years ago — when it took me about six months to find out that there was an organization in Edmonton that could or should have helped to provide some of the answers I sought but did not, even after I found it.

All of that does not mean that my life stopped.  I still seek answers.  The serious heart attack I experienced in February 2009 was a warning that I had to slow down.  I slowed down but did not entirely stop my efforts to find and understand the driving forces of the motivations for the planned destruction of the family within the context of the program for the re-engineering of humanity, of all of civilization, that is.

Quite some years ago, I posted an on-line edition of a book to Fathers for Life, The  Head of the Medusa. by Perseus.  The book was read by few fathers-rights activists, even then, and is being read by virtually no fathers-rights activists now. Yet, the book clearly identifies the forces that drive the planned destruction of the family within the context of the systematic re-engineering of humanity.

The Trinity of Humanicide — the destruction of the existing form of the human race — is formed by combining three such isms and let’s be honest, didn’t they all sound good when we first heard them? Let’s rip off the shining raiment and see what lies underneath.

  • Environmentalism — the war between people and the planet.
  • Multiculturalism — the war between the world and its component nations.
  • Feminism — the war between the two component human genders.

Unmasked, we can see these three imposters for what they are. They are not a Trinity to bring us together at all. They are three weird sisters met to tear us apart and create disharmony and destruction.

Here we have a witches brew, an all encompassing global ‘ethic’ that is the most powerful mechanism for human destruction in the history of the world. Anyone who cannot see, or understand this — and that is the vast majority of us — must believe that the three components of this spell are basically benign, altruistic aims. But, we have been fooled into biting into a poisoned apple. That is the true heart of this terrible human catastrophe.

In our lack of vision and understanding, we have ourselves become components in the most toxic and most powerful force for evil that has ever been unleashed in the history of human existence.

The Toxic Trinity of Humanicide, by Perseus

A few days ago I ran across a statement that, with very few words, sums up the fundamental, primary problem cause for what Perseus addressed in The  Head of the Medusa, “Communists are socialists who are in a hurry”.

Communism is socialism, but whether socialism is being put into place through a bloody revolution or through a slow death of a thousand cuts, once socialism is in place, whether its implementation took a hundred years or more or just a couple of years, it will have the nature of a centralized, totalitarian regime.

The Socialist Phenomenon, by Igor Shafarevich (English edition 1980, with a foreword by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, and now accessible in full and for free at the indicated link) is required reading.

I came across that book as a result of reading Solzhenitsyn’s 1978 Commencement Address at Harvard.  He stated in that,

….The mathematician Igor Shafarevich, a member of the Soviet Academy of Science, has written a brilliantly argued book entitled Socialism; this is a penetrating historical analysis demonstrating that socialism of any type and shade leads to a total destruction of the human spirit and to a leveling of mankind into death. Shafarevich’s book was published in France almost two years ago [1976, in Russian] and so far no one has been found to refute it.

Igor Shafarevich is a world-renowned mathematician.  I read substantial portions of his book [2008 12 02 — all of it by now], and I must fully agree with what Solzhenitsyn stated about it.

Solzhenitsyn did not mention feminism as a form of socialism, and neither did Shafarevich in his book, where feminism is not mentioned at all.  Perhaps neither author deemed it necessary to state the obvious, namely that socialism favours the female of the human species as much as anthills and beehives favour the females of their respective insect species.  That favoritism is illusory, as it means nothing more than that females do all of the work, and males serve only a single purpose, to diversify the gene pool….(Full Story: Search-engine censorship, socialism, ant hills and female supremacy)

The Socialist Phenomenon makes for chilling reading and is without a doubt true.  It is even more chilling to consider the extent of censorship that is at work in the West, given that it took a world-renowned mathematician during the existence of the former USSR to provide a clear and concise summary of the pertinent issues, while no one in the West, not even the Pope, did anything comparable.  (–The Communist Manifesto, by Walter Schneider)

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn explained in his 1978 commencement address at Harvard that The Socialist Phenomenon,

is a penetrating historical analysis demonstrating that socialism of any type and shade leads to a total destruction of the human spirit and to a leveling of mankind into death.

Yes, socialism does that and nothing else.  Igor Shafarevich hammers the point home by describing the four major aspects of socialism:

It would seem that socialist ideology has the ability to stamp widely separated or even historically unlinked socialist currents with indelible and stereotyped markings.

It seems to us quite legitimate to conclude that socialism does exist as a unified historical phenomenon. Its basic principles have been indicated above. They are:

Above, I mentioned that Igor Shafarevich’s The Socialist Phenomenon does not once mention feminism as an outcome or expression of socialism, but neither does it mention environmentalism.  That brings me to the motivation for posting this commentary.

MUST READ: What happened to global warming?
By Paul Hudson, BBC Climate Correspondent

This headline may come as a bit of a surprise, so too might that fact that the warmest year recorded globally was not in 2008 or 2007, but in 1998.

But it is true. For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.

And our climate models did not forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought [instead of “thought”, a better term would have been “falsely-alleged” –WHS] to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise.

So what on Earth is going on?  ….

Power cuts forecast to hit UK in four years
Robin Pagnamenta, Energy Editor

Britain faces a return to 1970s-style power blackouts and disruption to its electricity supplies within four years, the energy regulator warned yesterday.

Ofgem raised the spectre of a return to the three-day week for British industry as the country scrambles to renovate its crumbling power infrastructure ahead of new EU pollution rules that will force the closure of a quarter of UK power stations by 2015….

That is environmentalism gone insane, and so are comparable efforts, wherever they are being undertaken, such as in the case of the Alberta Government intending to spend billions of dollars for Carbon Capture and Sequestration while it cuts back on health-care spending for seniors and the disabled.  The reality of that sort of thing is that it is absolutely unnecessary, not only that but totally futile.  There is no way that a reduction of man-made CO2 emissions, emissions that constitute no more than 3.6% of the total CO2 content of the global atmosphere, will have a noticeable impact on climate trends.  The question is, what do power cuts and saving the globe have to do with the planned destruction of the family and with the abrogation of fathers rights?

Yes, I know.  A few fathers-rights activists asked me that question over the years, but, although I gave them the answer to that question, few of those who asked that question ever accepted my answer.  Well, if anyone still has a doubt as to whether environmentalism is part of the current program for implementing global socialism, consider how big a part of naziism environmentalism was.

Yes, naziism is a form of socialism.  The term nazi is a nickname for the name of the party that promoted that particular form of socialism, the National-Socialist German Workers Party (the acronym for the nazi party, NSDAP, stands for Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiter Partei, that is, the National-Socialist German Workers Party –WHS).  If you have any misgivings about the fact that environmentalism was strongly intertwined with Hitler’s National Socialism, read

The Nazi-Enviro Connection: Uekoetter’s “Green and Brown”
(2009), at Environmentalism is Fascism, by William Walter Kay

Considering the global attempts under the auspices of the UN to implement international income and asset equalization between have- and have-not nations (true to the communist maxim, “from those who have to those in need”) at any cost, in the order of many trillions of dollars, the income and asset transfers from men to women in the name of women’s rights pale by comparison, and so does the accompanying extent of the human misery, suffering and deaths so created through the planned destruction of the family.

The third member of the Toxic Trinity of Humanicide, multiculturalism, will be covered in another commentary that I will, if time permits, post a few months or so from now.

For now, if we cannot stop the insanity of extremely expensive but totally futile, humanly and economically damaging efforts to implement climate control for the sake of environmentalism in the name of saving the globe, what makes anyone think that the ongoing planned destruction of the family can be stopped? The same organizations and ultra-wealthy individuals who fund and promote “climate control” also fund and control the planned destruction of the family, with the goal of reducing the world population to about 350 million to a billion people.  After all, they consider humanity to be a cancer on the face of the Earth.

If you have not yet caught on to the strong connection between environmentalism and feminism, then consider to what extent you, too, have become indoctrinated:

The function of propaganda does not lie in the scientific training of the individual, but in calling the masses’ attention to certain facts, processes, necessities, etc., whose significance is thus for the first time placed within their field of vision. …

All propaganda must be popular and its intellectual level must be adjusted to the most limited intelligence among those it is addressed to. Consequently, the greater the mass it is intended to reach, the lower its purely intellectual level will have to be. But if, as in propaganda for sticking out a war, the aim is to influence a whole people, we must avoid excessive intellectual demands on our public, and too much caution cannot be extended in this direction. …

The receptivity of the great masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan….

The function of propaganda is, for example, not to weigh and ponder the rights of different people, but exclusively to emphasize the one right which it has set out to argue for. Its task is not to make an objective study of the truth, in so far as it favors the enemy, and then set it before the masses with academic fairness; its task is to serve our own right, always and unflinchingly.

Why Did Feminists Attack the Family?

The contemporary cultural and political war against the family has several causes, of which feminism is by far the most significant.

‘First-wave’ feminists in the early Twentieth Century were not at all anti-family. Indeed, one of their demands was that control of hearth and home should be the domain of women. Reference.

It was only as a result of second-wave feminism, in the late 1960s, that the feminist attack on the family began. Neil Lyndon, in his 1992 book ‘No More Sex War’, was perhaps the first to trace the origins of second-wave feminist ideology to Marxism….(Full Story)

There will be time for some open-line then an eye-opening, in-depth discussion on Fathers Rights and the Rights of Children.  Vancouver lawyer and well-known advocate Carey Linde will be joining us to talk about this issue and parental alienation.  Are the courts getting it wrong?  (Note: The first third of that portion of the show deals with provincial politics in B.C..  Skip that to get to the interview with Carey Linde.  The discussion of fathers rights, feminist judicial bias, divorce issues such as parental alienation and much more is fascinating.  It is very important for anyone living in B.C. that the discussion contains a recommendation by Carey Linde to copy the results of the poll on shared parenting run by Saskatchewan MP Vellacotte and to forward that to the B.C. Attorney General — in view of the currently going-on revisions to family rights laws in B.C.. –WHS)

AN UNMARRIED HUSBAND:UNWELCOME REALITY

By Stephen Baskerville

–The decline of the family now affects virtually every American and seriously threatens not only social order but freedom and constitutional government. G.K. Chesterton once observed that the family checks government power. He was writing about divorce: Despite other threats to the family, divorce remains the most serious.

Americans would be shocked if they knew what goes on in the name of divorce. Divorce today licenses unprecedented government intrusion, including the power to seize children, loot family savings, and incarcerate parents without trial.

The full implications of the “no-fault” revolution have never been publicly debated. Divorce today seldom involves two people simply parting ways; 80 percent of divorces are unilateral. Under “no-fault,” divorce becomes a power grab by one spouse, assisted by judicial officials who profit from the ensuing litigation: judges, lawyers, psychotherapists, and social workers. Involuntary divorce involves government agents forcibly removing innocent people from their homes, seizing their property, and separating them from their children. It requires long-term supervision over private life by state functionaries, including police and jails….(Full Story)

US “freedom”: 5% of world’s population, 25% of world’s prison inmates

The blog entry identified by the following posits that in the US:

With our days as a manufacturing power a wistful memory and the marketing of fraudulent Wall Street “financial products” an infinitely self-replenishing source of national outrage, incarceration may soon become — by default — our leading national industry.

Liberty and Law, not “Law and Order”

….To an extent unrivaled in the Western World, and perhaps comparable only to the People’s Republic of China, America’s prison system is populated by non-violent offenders. This is due primarily to that inexhaustible well of policy foolishness known as the “war on drugs,” of course.

Another significant element in this equation is the use of jails and penitentiaries as “debtor’s prisons” for “deadbeat dads” — divorced fathers driven into intractable financial misery by the federal child support racket.

“A parent [generally a father] whose children are taken away by a family court is only at the beginning of his troubles. The next step comes as he is summoned to court and ordered to pay as much as two-thirds or even more of his income as `child support’ to whomever has been given custody. His wages will immediately be garnished and his name will be entered on a federal register of `delinquents.’ This is even before he has had a chance to become one, though it is also likely that the order will be backdated, so he will already be delinquent as he steps out of the courtroom. If the ordered amount is high enough, and the backdating far enough, he will be an instant felon and subject to immediate arrest.”

Jails and prisons across our land bulge at the seams with men who have been sucked into this vortex. Countless others are on probation, parole, or shackled at the ankle with electronic monitoring devices….(Full Story)

Escalating child abuse — outcome of systematic social engineering

Here is a link to an article that chronicles the unimaginable cruelty that led to the death of “Baby P”.

The second article identified in the following illustrates that the unimaginable cruelty that led to the torturous death of “Baby P” in the U.K. is the unavoidable consequence of efforts aiming at the planned destruction of the family.

The article identifies that the planned destruction of the family is being implemented through the systematic removal of natural fathers from the lives of their children.

Baby P and the Child Abuse Industry

Written by Stephen Baskerville

The Baby P killing reveals the child abuse industry at its most cynical. The Soviet-style ineptitude revealed daily is the product not of poor training or underfunding but of the logic inherent in bureaucratic politics.

We have long known what causes child abuse and why children like Baby P die. The vast preponderance of child abuse and child deaths occurs in single-parent homes. Very little abuse takes place in married, twoparent families. London’s Family Education Trust long ago demonstrated that children are up to 33 times more likely to suffer serious abuse and 73 times more likely to suffer fatal abuse in the home of a mother with a live-in boyfriend or stepfather than in an intact family.

Figures from the US Justice Department show that single mothers accounted for 55 per cent of child murders. Shorn of politically correct euphemism, what this means is that the principal impediment to child abuse is a father. ‘Fathers have often played the protector role inside families,’ writes Adrienne Burgess of Fathers Direct. A study in the journal Adolescent and Family Health found that ‘The presence of the father … placed the child at lesser risk for child sexual abuse.’

Yet instead of allowing fathers to protect their children, fathers are forcibly and systematically removed from their homes and children by family courts with the active support of social work bureaucracies….(Full Story)
