Radiationphobia
March 15, 2011 by Walter Schneider.
Do you fear serious health problems due to being exposed to radiation from the Japanese nuclear plants?
There is little to fear. The situation in Japan is a far cry from being as harmful as other nuclear accidents were, and the dangers from those, too, were blown out of all proportions. Here is a very informative account of that:
From the Summer 2010 Issue
of 21st Century of Science and Technology
Observations on Chernobyl after 25 Years of Radiophobia
Zbigniew Jaworowski, M.D., Ph.D., D.Sc.The worst possible nuclear plant accident produced no scientifically confirmed fatalities in the general population. But there was enormous political and psychological damage, mainly the result of belief in the lie that any amount of radiation is bad.
Here is another item that will do much to allay hysterics, specifically with respect to the nuclear energy plant in Fukushima, that presently and increasingly raise fears of nuclear-energy-induced radiation impacts to heights that have not been seen since the tidal wave of fear about the consequences of the Chernobyl incident was set into motion.
Why I am not worried about Japan’s nuclear reactors. | Morgsatlarge – blogorific.
There exists a copy of this post on Barry Brooks excellent blog, where you can still use the discussion function: http://bravenewclimate.com
Last but not least, see this:
MIT NSE Nuclear Information Hub
Information about the incident at the Fukushima Nuclear Plants in Japan hosted by http://web.mit.edu/nse/ :: Maintained by the students of the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering at MIT
It is extremely difficult not to become influenced by the fear mongering promulgated by the media. The sad reality is that “The News” are vehicles by which to bring advertising to the people. One must make a deliberate effort to avoid becoming influenced by the media. After all, their primary purpose for existence is to influence people and thereby to make a profit. The media employ professionals schooled and trained in influencing people, all for the sake of profit.
The best news of all to accomplish that with are bad news, better yet, alarming news, and, if the news are not bad enough to achieve that with, then news that have been invented or have been made alarming when they were not and should not have been presented as alarming news in the first place will do better than all others. “Dog bites man” is not news, “Man bites dog!!” is.
Randolph Hurst was someone who had the reputation of being ruthless in inventing and presenting alarming news for boosting the circulation of his newspapers. I believe that it was he who once said: “There is no such thing as bad News,” meaning that, for the purpose of increasing circulation, the more alarming the news are, the better, because the greater the circulation numbers, the larger the advertising revenues.
Newspapers derive the vast majority of their revenues from advertising. The prices charged for copies of their newspapers pay for nothing more than just the paper they are printed on and perhaps putting them into circulation. The reporting, the editorializing, the writing, the composing, the typesetting, the wages and salaries of their staff, and all of the capital and operating expenses of newspapers are paid through advertising revenues.
Of course, very similar considerations apply to other branches of the media, such as broadcasting.
Increasing the circulation (or the size of a listening or viewing audience) increases the advertising revenues.
I believe that the recognition of that reality is one of the most important things any activists should engage themselves in.
There is an enormous media bias regarding feminism and men’s issues. I admired many of the human rights activists whom I met throughout my life for being fully aware of that.
Now get this. That bias in the media is not driven by an evil conspiracy. It is driven by greed for media profits. It just so happens that some ideological opportunists exploit the greed of the media for their own purposes.
That happens not only with respect to vilifying men and fathers for the purpose of creating and enlarging a rift between the sexes and to aid the systematic deconstruction of the traditional nuclear family. The same principle creates opportunities for other fanatical ideologists or pain alarmists such as those who wish to promote their agenda for world domination or perhaps nothing more than their greed for power and wealth by creating unfounded fears about specific environmental issues.
One little aspect of the manufacturing of fears for profit is the creation and intensification of fears regarding nuclear energy. Accidents such as those at Three-Mile Island, Chernobyl and Fukushima are god-sends for environmental-alarmism opportunists and carpetbaggers.
__________
Note: Dr. Jaworowski’s report on radiophobia may seem at first to be difficult reading, but get into it and become fascinated.
By understanding what Dr. Jaworowski stated about radiophobia and in reading his explanation of how it was created and exploited in connection with Chernobyl you may be making the most important contribution you could ever have imagined to becoming enlightened in your career as a human rights activist.
There is no shame in being duped once…

“Your god does not exist.”
March 13, 2011 by Walter Schneider.
After making the preceding post on “Planned Parenthood Aids Pimp’s Underage Sex Ring“, it seemed that it would be the right time to post the following exchange that took place between Rose Noho and me just a few days ago. After all this time, I doubt it that Rose will respond.
Hello Rose,
Oh my, such hatred! I wonder what made you feel that way, but you should put your brain in gear before putting your mouth or fingers into motion, and never carry things so far that you go flying off the handle.
By the way, you are only the second individual in all of the years of the existence of Fathers for Life and in tens of thousands of email messages we received who openly stated that a web page on our website contains lies.
Still, if you wish to bring other people onto your side, you could have a better start by providing facts, not fiction.

Let’s look at this!
http://fathersforlife.org/religion/religion_role.htm
“Individual Rights — Subordinated to God & Society, Obligated to Others “
Your god does not exist.
And the proof for that is?
“Individual Rights — Based on Entitlement, Subordinated to No-one, Obligated to No-one”
I’m very liberal, and feel obligated to others, and I don’t even have to believe in a fictional sky daddy to feel that way.
Good for you, but your obligations do not extend to keeping your hatred to yourself. Right?
“Life is Sacred from Conception”
Spare me. What about the KKK lynchings? Guess blacks and Jews don’t count as “life”, huh?
What does the KKK have to do with religion? How many lynchings were there, and why do you imply that those were worse than 55 million abortions a year, world-wide? Moreover, Jews do not and never had a monopoly on victimhood. That distinction is reserved for the largest visible minority, men. (See The Male Sacrificial Premium)
”Life is not Sacred (55 million abortions/year); Increasing Demand for Euthanasia and for Assisted Suicide”
People should not be forced to suffer. We treat our pets better than our terminally sick and elderly.
Right. People should be given every chance that is rightfully theirs to alleviate pain and avoid having to suffer.I am glad that we agree on one issue, so far. However, could you be a little more clear? Do you feel that it is necessary to kill people for their own good and that that would be the right thing to do?
The good thing about how I feel about the right to life is that I can justify everything I believe in by accepting that man is the crown of creation. What is your excuse for living?
“Love is a Must, Hate is Contemptible”
Oh, spare me. Guess that whole Inquisition thing was made up.
Yes, the true mark of a liberal, judging the past by today’s standards. Aside from that, here are some of the numbers:
Much is being made out of the excesses of some members of the Christian religion during the middle ages. The Spanish Inquisition is often cited as an example of Christianity and religions being bad for humanity. About 60,000 people were prosecuted during the Spanish Inquisition. That amounts to an average of 168 people per year during the 358 years of the duration of the Spanish Inquisition. On average, about six people a year were executed. Thousands of “witches” were burned at the stake. Some of them were women, but most of them were men. That must be measured against other excesses of mankind….(Full Story)
“Absolute Truth and Objective Reality (If the law says, “don’t do it,” don’t)”
That evil Rosa Parks, not obeying the law!
What is your point?
And you religious people talk about how morals are declining. Well, tell me when they were better and why. No vague babble.
You make a start. It is your obligation. Tell me when they were worse and why.
When the Natives were slaughtered and their land stolen? (So much for life being sacred, huh?)
Where there was slavery?
When German and Japanese Americans were taken from their homes and put into concentration camps?
Come on, tell me, when were these “good ol’ days”?
Well, you’ve got to admit that our concentration camps were better than theirs. The mortality rate in ours was not as high, by far. Moreover, you must not forget the concentration camps that were by far the deadliest, the soviet concentration camps, although no self-respecting liberal ever mentions those. That is because they were not a manifestation of a god-fearing society but of a liberal, atheistic one.
However, where in the page that got you so riled up does it state anything about “these good ol’ days”? Could you point it out? I would not want to have anything in there that is misleading.
Do you feel guilty for living on land stolen from the natives? What keeps you from giving your share back to them?
You might be right, and some people need to be brainwashed into believing absurd Bronze Age myths in order to be “good”. But some people are smart, and don’t have to believe that nonsense in order to live good lives, and be good to others.
So, why do you want me to believe that anything that promotes moral incentives in the form of a religion is nonsense? After all, liberalism is just another religion (ideology, religion… all the same), and so is atheism.
I cooperate with others, help others, and I don’t have to believe in some vengeful sky daddy in order to do so.
Okay. Too bad for you, though. With you not being a member of any religious denomination, you will have to forgo being canonized. In the meantime, do you feel that TV is a reasonable substitute for the Bible, and that the daily horoscope in the newspaper serves better than the Psalms to bring about your salvation?
Your alleged liberal tolerance does not prevent you from railing against those who believe in something that you call “absurd Bronze Age myths”. That is not liberal tolerance, it is hypocrisy.
Now that we both have had our fun with trying to get under the skin of the other, you may wish to have a good look at The Socialist Phenomenon and tell me which of the facts in mankind’s search for Utopia presented by Igor Shafarevich are wrong and with which of the opinions in the Foreword by Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn you disagree.
I look forward to reading your response and showing it to others. Do your best. It seems that the first round went to me. It would not look good for you to concede after the opening of Round 2 and to throw in the towel. (Maybe you need to find help before you carry on?)
Regards,
Walter Schneider

Planned Parenthood to Girl Scouts: Masturbate, and You Don’t Have to Tell Sex Partners if You Have HIV

Last year at a United Nations meeting on Women, Planned Parenthood held a session for Girl Scouts where the adult leaders were not allowed in the room. (click here for the whole story) In that meeting, they made available to the girls their eighteen page booklet, Healthy, Happy, and Hot (click here to read it).
In this booklet, Planned Parenthood actually advises girls that they don’t have to tell their sex partners if they have HIV!!….(Full Story)

Now on facebook
March 5, 2011 by Walter Schneider.
A little more than two years ago (about Nov. 2008) I joined facebook.
Until a few days ago, I did not make much use of it. Facebook felt uncomfortable because, once anything is posted there, it often seems impossible to make corrections. What bothers me most about using the features of facebook is that it is not always obvious how something that one enters there will be displayed and that, if things turn out differently than expected, corrections or required edits cannot be made anymore to change something into becoming more appealing.
Well, so what? I will just have to learn to think things through a bit more before I post them; perhaps not quite like putting one’s brain into gear before putting the mouth into motion but maybe — to put it more aptly — to learn by trial and error.
A few days ago one of my daughters convinced me that faccebook is a practical tool for staying in touch. After a few days of making more use of facebook and exploring its features, I must say that she is right.
I should have made more use of facebook much sooner. Now I want to try and figure out if it is practical to show facebook items as links in a blog entry. Here goes:
dailytelegraph.newspaperdirect

Politics 101

Many thanks for your information. I have contacted my [elected representative] (a woman. . . lol) so I’ll let you know what transpires. Thanks again….
Let’s hope that she can do something for you. Chances are better than 50:50 in your favour that she will. After all, you are a potential vote for her. The more shaky her position, the more likely it is that she will help you. On the other hand, civil servants are not bothered by such considerations. They can use their positions to further their pet-ideologies with impunity, provided they toe the party-line of their respective organizations or departments. It follows that real political power resides in government bureaucracies, not with our elected representatives.
There is nothing wrong with a woman being your representative, as such. Being a woman does not necessarily mean that she is a feminist or unwilling to help you.
The reality is that being a feminist is a condition that is independent of sex. Moreover, the pro-feminist bias in individuals produces somewhat more male than female feminists. For many men who are feminists, being feminists gives them the illusion that their affliction earns them more respect in the opinions of women whom they wish to impress. That works well for the women who can be impressed.
On the other hand, women generally feel that they do not need to impress men (but, generally, women most definitely have a great need to impress other women). They are more practical than that.
For many truly honest women, wanting to be feminists poses a great dilemma. They know full-well that being feminists implies the obligation to be fully equal to men. That means, that to be able to reach full equality, they would have to give up too many of the advantages that feminism provided them with. However, most being extremely practical, virtually all women — feminist or not — are very reluctant to forgo any of those advantages.
Let there be no mistake. Those tendencies are ingrained and have been re-enforced through selective breeding throughout evolution. Feminism is older than civilization and predates the advent of humanity. For instance, you can observe feminist tactics in action when watching the movies that anthropologists have made of the social interactions in the daily lives of troupes of chimpanzees.
It would not be wise to discuss any of those observations with [elected representative]. :-)
