Social services are paid bonuses to snatch babies

Daily Mail [UK]
How social services are paid bonuses to snatch babies for adoption
By SUE REID, January 31, 2008

From the article:

….over the five years since I began investigating the scandal of forced adoptions, I have found a deeply secretive system which is too often biased against basically decent families.

I have been told of routine dishonesty by social workers and questionable evidence given by doctors which has wrongly condemned mothers.

Meanwhile, millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money has been given to councils to encourage them to meet high Government targets on child adoptions.

Under New Labour policy, Tony Blair changed targets in 2000 to raise the number of children being adopted by 50 per cent to 5,400 a year.

The annual tally has now reached almost 4,000 in England and Wales - four times higher than in France, which has a similar-sized population….

More information on the apprehension of children by the State
It is a fallacy that adopted children do better.  The outcomes in adopted children is on average as dismal as it is in children who grow up fatherless.  The best outcomes by far are to be found in those children that grow up in the care of two married parents (one of each sex) who live under a common roof.

And here are a few thoughts on the circumstances of child apprehensions:

Plato, in Republic, has Socrates offer this advice to philosopher kings:

Take all the children from their parents and rid the city of adults.

Who owns the youths controls the future.

— Slogan used by Napoleon and also by
the founders of the Wandervogel
(”bird of passage”, the enormously popular youth movement that began
in about 1880 in Germany and produced many
of the prominent (and often homosexual) Nazi leaders)

Give me your 4-year-olds, and within one generation I’ll construct a socialist state.

— Lenin

[The State] must set race in the center of all life. It must take care to keep it pure. It must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. It must  see to it that only the healthy beget children….

— Hitler, in Mein Kampf

First they came for the fathers, then for the mothers, and now for both parents in intact families.  In the end all children will be in the care, custody and control of the State.

— Walter H. Schneider

The thing about all of this that should be of the greatest concern to those concerned about the escalating centralization of power, growing totalitarianism and outright tyranny in all developed nations should be that child apprehensions by the state escalate in one particular sector of the population.  That is single-mother families that never had or no longer have the protection of the fathers of the children in those families.

Should anyone be surprised?  Why?  The war by governments against the family in the developed nations is real and has been escalating ever since so-called “no-fault” divorce (in which the fault is always the man’s) became the rule in the late sixties and early seventies. The easiest and most effective method by which to destroy families is to break and remove their weakest links, the fathers.

The federal bankruptcy judge who was convicted of DWI in Manchester this week is resigning.

According to a press release issued by the First Circuit federal court in Boston today, Judge Robert Somma will remain on leave until his resignation takes effect on April 1.

The liberal baby bust

The liberal baby bust” is an article by Phillip Longman that was published June 2006 in USA Today.  I comment on it here and today because the article relates to concerns that are quite similar to those addressed by other authors that fell victim to comparable fallacies that I had commented on recently. (E. G.: Dwindling Populations)
A footnote to the article explains that Phillip Longman is a fellow at the New America Foundation and the author of The Empty Cradle: How Falling Birthrates Threaten World Prosperity and What to Do About It and states that “this essay is adapted from his cover story in … Foreign Policy magazine.”

In short, Phillip Longman explains that the birth dearth is nothing much to worry about.  He stated:

The greatly expanded childless segment of contemporary society, whose members are drawn disproportionately from the feminist and countercultural movements of the 1960s and ’70s, will leave no genetic legacy. Nor will their emotional or psychological influence on the next generation compare with that of people who did raise children….

In the conclusion of his article he stated:

Tomorrow’s children, therefore, unlike members of the postwar baby boom generation, will be for the most part descendants of a comparatively narrow and culturally conservative segment of society. To be sure, some members of the rising generation may reject their parents’ values, as often happens. But when they look for fellow secularists with whom to make common cause, they will find that most of their would-be fellow travelers were quite literally never born….(Full Story)

Phillip Longman is quite correct in stressing by various means in his article that the correlation between secularism, individualism and low fertility is an evolutionary dead end, that it will therefore spell the end of the growth of liberalism and mean a return of conservatism, but he ignores very important aspects of that tidal change in cultural trends.

Firstly, do we have enough time to wait for the change to conservatism to happen and, secondly, what sort of conservatism is it that we can expect to emerge?

There seems to be little doubt that within about at the most four generations the indigenous populations of the developed nations will have shrunk so much in size that they will no longer matter demographically or even culturally.  The differences in the demographic trends between Seattle and Salt Lake City are neither representative nor controlling in the USA.  It is important in the USA and elsewhere to recognize the cultural changes that are happening where the birth rates of so-called “conservative” families exceed by far the birth rates of liberal and progressive Whites and Blacks.

It is curious that Phillip Longman did not address the ethnic, racial and cultural origins of the populations that will replace the rapidly shrinking sector of the liberal and progressive Whites and Blacks in the USA (and in Canada), and of the comparable populations that will replace the corresponding and rapidly shrinking indigenous population sector in other developed nations.

In the USA it will be primarily Hispanics who will direct and dominate the cultural tidal change, at least in those states that were formerly part of the Spanish Colonies.  In Europe the replacing will be done by Muslims.  In the eastern parts of Russia it will be done by Chinese and Muslims.  It seems doubtful that Japan will remain empty.  Nature abhors a vacuum, even a demographic one.  Something will always rush in to fill a vacuum.  Japan will have to import increasing numbers of guest workers.  Just as that was done in Europe and ultimately resulted in the cultural and demographic upheavals that European nations are currently trying to cope with.

The liberal interest groups that eradicated the western cultural heritage will not be around to see that they quite literally eradicated the traditional western population.  Unless a change in the means by which that is made to happen occurs soon, it seems that the West will not go out with a whimper but quite possibly in a steadily increasing number of blasts caused by suicide bombings and urban warfare.

My Wife Became Legal and I Became Illegal

Each year the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and similar federal laws funnel $1 billion to help abused and battered women - or so we are led to believe. A good part of that money goes to immigrants who claim to be victims of domestic violence.

Last Fall I wrote a three-part exposé that revealed how an immigrant woman’s restraining order becomes a gold-plated meal ticket that entitles her to preferential treatment by immigration authorities, free legal services, and a generous helping of welfare services.

One woman whose father had been falsely accused of abuse and forced from his home wrote me, I believe the Violence Against Women Act should be called the “Women Get What They Want Act. “[ www.renewamerica.us/columns/roberts/070912 ] ….(Full Story)

When the Titanic hit an iceberg in dead-calm waters in the north Atlantic, there was time but not nearly enough life boats to rescue everyone. Spaces were rationed according to the perceived value of the passengers. Those with first-class berths were more likely to have been saved than passengers from steerage. This pattern of rescue reflects the classism of British society at the time….

In the competition for mating opportunities, therefore, males tend to compete much more ferociously with each other than women do. In some species, competition for mating opportunities rises to extraordinary heights and may be the sole purpose of male existence. Male bison and sea lions, for example, engage in a series of vicious fights, often to the death, resulting in a single male victor monopolizing the entire herd of females. The benefit of “harem-building” to the females of these species is that it increases the odds that their offspring will possess the genes that produced the outstanding reproductive success of the winning male. Why settle for second best?….(Full Story)

______________
F4L: The statement about the benefit of “harem-building” is a misperception that is being disproved time and again with respect to the differences between ostensible and real mating habit of allegedly monogamous species.

DNA-tracing is a wonderful research tool. Amongst many other species, it has been used to trace the genealogy of elk, apes and humans.

Guess what, while the bull-elk is busy posturing, bugling and fighting for dominance, some of the yearlings are busy getting it on with members of his harem. More than 60 percent of the offspring in a given year is not that of the bull-elk but that of the adolescents looking for a little bit at the outer fringes of the boss’s staging area, while the boss made sure that his does were ready to receive the sperm donation they wanted from any available source. (I tried for many hours to find the reference to the source of that information, but I had no success, so for now I have just my memory to go on.)

As to apes, in groups of chimpanzees in the wild it was found that, even though the groups were closely watched by researchers – they thought, at all times – the babies born to the mothers in the group were fathered about 60 percent of the time by males from other, neighbouring groups. There was only one possible way by which the females could have gotten impregnated by foreign males. The females used great stealth during the night to meet the fathers of their children-to-be in the bushes somewhere out of sight and hearing. (Scientific American, Jan. 1999, p. 97)

And as to humans, the story is much the same, and not just in row housing in England.   On average, in supposedly stable monogamous relationships, the chances are one out of five or 20 percent that a given child is not the biological offspring of the alleged father.  It appears that civilization has not quite tamed the savage in humans.

The Association of American Blood Banks found that in one year, out of more than 300,000 DNA tests for paternity, the men who were fingered as the fathers were not the biological fathers in about 30 percent of the cases.  Doesn’t it make you wonder what the percentages will be if DNA testing for paternity is mandatory at the birth of every child?
The Family Research Institute identified, based on data from two large government surveys, that,

…about 2% of males and 44% of females who engaged in homosexuality, and also said that they had an “on-going sexual relationship” in the last year, were married! None of these married homosexuals reported having had sex with their spouse! Some of these are probably in ’shell marriages,’ where two homosexuals marry for social cover but voluntarily do not have sex with each other. Others probably have mystified or troubled spouses (e.g., ‘is there something wrong with me?’).

European Bishops Criticize EU for Interfering with Marriage and Encroaching on National Sovereignty

January 24, 2008

By Maciej Golubiewski

(NEW YORK — C-FAM) A report just released by the European bishops calls on the European Union (EU) to focus on what they consider to be the real needs of families in Europe and further calls on the EU to respect national marriage laws of the member states. The report by the Commission of the European Bishops’ Conference (COMECE) entitled “Proposal for a Strategy of the European Union for the Support of Couples and Marriage” focuses on two fundamental problems that present“ high emotional, social and financial costs to European society:” the continuing increase in divorce rates and the difficulty faced by young Europeans who decide to raise children….(Full Story)

____________
F4L: The European Bishops have a big problem. They do not give recognition to one of the major driving forces that cause the deterioration of the institution of the family for the sake of population control, the World Health Organization, nor do they recognize that the promotion of anti-male domestic violence propaganda, such as in the following paragraph in the European Bishops’ report, is one of the most effective tools in the promotion of anti-family and anti-male sentiments in the general population.

1.4. Domestic Violence

Domestic violence by men against women darkens the life of many couples and is one of the causes of family break-up. It is very often a consequence of a couple’s incapacity to deal properly with conflicts. The problem exists in all EU member states and in all social classes. Data on this phenomenon is difficult to obtain and to interpret. However, the World Health Organisation has estimated that world wide – depending on the country and the assessment method – between 10% and 69% of women have been physically attacked by their husband or partner.

The true reality of domestic violence is no secret and has not ever been: Men and women are perpetrators of violence in families in about equal proportions, and the incidence rates promoted by the WHO are a massive exaggeration. Moreover, women are by far the primary perpetrators of violence against children in families - virtually exclusively so in families headed by sole mothers. Children comprise the largest group of domestic violence victims, and the vast majority of violence against children in families is being perpetrated by women.

It is mind-boggling that the European Bishops should not know about that and instead mindlessly parrot WHO-originated and promoted anti-family and anti-male propaganda. Given that circumstance, one must question their sincerity with respect to their alleged concerns about the deteriorating welfare of children in families and about the progressing, systematic destruction of the institution of the family.

At the root of the problem of the inexorable and systematic destruction of the family is the systematic abrogation and destruction of respect for all men and especially of respect for fathers in families. The European Bishops contribute more than their fair share to that.

The report by the European Bishops stresses a specific priority area “Promoting gender
equality through the prevention of family break-up”. One does not create fertile ground for gender equality by demonizing men and sanctifying women.

War Torn: When Strains On Military Families Turn Deadly
2008-02-15

A few months after Sgt. William Edwards and his wife, Sgt. Erin Edwards, returned to a Texas Army base from separate missions in Iraq, he assaulted her mercilessly. He struck her, choked her, dragged her over a fence and slammed her into the sidewalk.

As far as Erin Edwards was concerned, that would be the last time he beat her.

Unlike many military wives, she knew how to work the system to protect herself. She was an insider, even more so than her husband, since she served as an aide to a brigadier general at Fort Hood.

With the general’s help, she quickly arranged for a future transfer to a base in New York. She pressed charges against her husband and secured an order of protection. She sent her two children to stay with her mother. And she received assurance from her husband’s commanders that he would be barred from leaving the base unless accompanied by an officer.

Yet, on the morning of July 22, 2004, William Edwards easily slipped off base, skipping his anger-management class, and drove to his wife’s house in the Texas town of Killeen. He waited for her to step outside and then, after a struggle, shot her point-blank in the head before turning the gun on himself….(Full Story)

___________
F4L: The article, published in the NY times, paints a picture of male soldiers being ticking time bombs, ready to explode and to put members of their families through misery and deadly violence, yet,

…the New York Times found more than 150 cases of fatal domestic violence or child abuse in the United States involving service members and new veterans during the wartime period that began in October 2001 with the invasion of Afghanistan.

In more than a third of the cases, the Times determined that the offenders had deployed to Afghanistan or Iraq or to the regions in support of those missions. In another third, it determined that the offenders never deployed to war. And the deployment history of the final third could not be ascertained.

It is being stressed that it is male soldiers (virtually all soldiers in combat positions are men) who loose it and cause havoc in their families.  Still, in 2007 there were about 2.2 million men and a few women in the US Armed forces.  DV murders amounted to about 20 a year.

Is that an extraordinary number of murders?  2.2 million soldier employed in the military industry. plus another four million is equal to about six million people, the equivalent of a good sized city.

So, how do 20 DV murders a year in a population sector that size measure up against the murders that occur in a normal city that size.  The mayor of any city of a million people or more would be proud to have no more than 20 murders a year.  If the media concentrate on the suffering of individual victims of member of the Armed Forces and provide no reference to the size of the population group in which those murders happen, any such calamity turns into a massive disaster on a personal level.  However, in reference to the population group in which the murders happen, they are not as big a problem as they are made out to be.

Still, there should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that someone who is repeatedly away from his family for extended periods of time will find that rejoining that family can be problematic, especially if he comes back to find a child at home that he could not possible have fathered, or if he finds that he is being expunged from a family for whom he thought he was putting life, limbs and his health at risk.

The NY Times article distorts reality and is a very effective piece of propaganda.

Custody hearing goes on despite deployment

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — While Spc. Mary Hollingsworth dispensed weapons at Camp Anaconda outside Balad, Iraq, there was another battle waiting for her at home.

During her deployment, the father of her 5-year-old son filed legal papers trying to get custody. Victor Diaz Jr. portrayed Hollingsworth as more interested in being a soldier than taking care of her son.

Hollingsworth shipped home from her National Guard duties a month early to appear in court, and she has custody — for now.

Mom, AWOL over child custody, turns herself in

CONCORD, N.H. — A New Hampshire soldier charged with deserting while trying to ensure her 7-year-old daughter’s safety at home surrendered to the Army in New Jersey on Tuesday, her lawyer said.

New Hampshire National Guard Spc. Lisa Hayes, 32, of Rindge, took emergency leave from Iraq in February after learning of possible domestic violence in her ex-husband’s home, lawyer Linda Theroux said.

The Army extended her leave briefly three times, but finally refused further extensions and charged her with being absent without leave March 25, then with desertion a month later….(Full Story)

It is ironic. The problem of a parent losing his children as a result of military deployment has been around for many years.  Predominantly and almost exclusively fathers lost child custody on account of their deployment.  Nevertheless, it took the relatively rare case of a woman losing child custody to bring the problem into view.

Handling custody after a divorce

Each state has its own laws on child custody, but generally speaking, there are two forms: legal and physical. Deployed troops protected from custody fights

By Pauline Arrillaga - The Associated Press

It had become an unintended and heart-wrenching side effect of war: Some deployed military parents left battling on two fronts, for the country they are sworn to defend and the children they were losing in custody disputes because of that duty.

Now family advocates are hopeful that a change to a federal law will help protect these men and women in uniform from having to fight for their kids while serving their country….(Full Story)

However, there is another issue that none of the articles published in The Army Times address.  That is the problem of a man coming back after having served overseas or having even been a POW and finding upon his return that he has to face massive child support arrears and possible incarceration on account of that.

Military dads seek fair child support

By Marilyn Gardner | Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor ; 2003 04 02

Like many military reservists, Mark Wetzel took a pay cut when he was called for active duty last year. Instead of the $31,000 he earns as a nursing assistant in a Philadelphia hospital, he received $27,000 as a Navy corpsman serving in Kosovo.

But one thing didn’t change: his child-support payments. A family court declined to reduce the $899 a month he pays to his estranged wife and two children.

As more National Guard and reserve units are deployed for the war in Iraq - 216,800 have been called to active duty so far - more noncustodial parents find themselves in the same circumstances that Wetzel did. If they fall behind in child-support payments because of reduced wages, they could incur penalties when they return home…. Full Story

The article in the Christian Science Monitor does not mention another consequence for children of non-custodial dads who served in the military.  It should have.  There have been numerous instances where family courts restricted or even prohibited children of servicemen and ex-servicement who are non-custodial dads from having access to their fathers.  The courts hold that their heroic fathers are trained killers and cannot be trusted to come into contact with their children.

There are other, related issues.  I recall that when I went to school that in every ten of the students in my school there was one who experienced that his father got killed or went missing in action.  The last 10,000 POWs returned ten years after WWII from Russia.  Many of them had gone missing in action and then tried to rejoin their families, of whom many had already declared them dead.

That problem still  occurs today.
