“Our Rainbow Family” - “Operation baby-making”
December 31, 2007 by Walter Schneider.
And an operation it is — far more difficult and far more expensive than the traditional way to which virtually all of us (98 percent or more) have become accustomed.
Check essentialbaby.com
We had fantastic support through our local IVF clinic, (SIVF Canberra) and were the first lesbian couple at the clinic at that time to request using eggs from one woman to use in the other. We did it this way for a number of reasons: Tanya would be more included in the process and would be the biological mother of our daughter, and I did not want to pass on any autoimmune diseases to our child, as many women in my family (father’s side) have lupus, thyroid problems or other autoimmune diseases.
It was not considered surrogacy or anything other than a couple trying to have a baby together. We were very lucky that it worked first go and we even had three embryos left to use in the future.
The “couple” made an attempt to have another baby:
Last month we started the process for adding to our family, using one of our frozen embryos. Unfortunately it didn’t take, so we will have a break over Christmas and try again next year. We have two embryos left and will put them back in one at a time.
I have no information on the costs of IVF procedures in Australia. It all depends on success rates:
IVF success [in the US] rates are much higher than shown here for women under age 35

It appears that nothing is mentioned about the half of the child’s abilities and inclinations that come from her “dad’s” side, but one thing is certain, if the child is a girl, she will not be a sperm donor, not yet, anyway.

Update June 7, 2008:
Current total fertility rates (TFRs) for countries in the world - Rank Order. The web page accessible through the preceding link lists the rank order from highest to lowest, with a TFR of about 2.2 indicating a stable population. The TFR required to maintain a given country’s population varies a little from country to country, depending on the life expectancy for the average resident in that country. (Source: CIA World Factbook)
As of June 2008, the CIA World Factbook showed 104 countries (generally the richest and most developed) to have TFRs of less than 2.2. In other words, in those countries the population is in the process of shrinking. (Related Articles at Fathers for Life)

Couple charged in Christmas Eve shootings
December 29, 2007 by Walter Schneider.
Los Angeles Times
The Seattle pair face six charges of aggravated first-degree murder in the deaths of her parents, her brother and his family.
From the Associated Press
December 29, 2007
Michele K. Anderson and Joseph Thomas McEnroe, both 29, confessed to detectives they had shot six members of Anderson’s family, according to court documents….(Full Story)
The LA Times story states that the reason for the murders may never be known. Nevertheless, a related story in The Australian, also based on an Associated Press report, states:
Ben Anderson, who said he was the Andersons’ grandson, told reporters outside his grandparents’ property that money could have been a factor in the deaths. “She (Michele Anderson) felt she wasn’t loved enough and everyone didn’t appreciate her, and she was pushed out of everyone’s life,” he said….(Full Story)
It will be interesting to see what spin will be put on this, so that perhaps the “real” victim turns out to be Michele Anderson, who will thereby be able to avoid a sentence of life in prison without parole.

Indian men want a “men’s ministry”

Men say wives use India’s pro-women laws to torment them
By Amrit Dhillon, Delhi
Every Saturday evening, a group of male victims…swap stories about vicious wives tormenting them under India’s pro-women laws.
The men, members of the Save Indian Family Foundation, believe they have
been at the receiving end of vengeful women for long enough and are
campaigning for “men’s rights”.
At the last weekly support meeting, Avinash Datta, 32, related how his wife
threatened to have him and his elderly mother thrown into jail by falsely
accusing him of demanding more dowry after their marriage two years ago….
India’s laws on dowry and domestic violence are meant to protect women
against mistreatment and violent husbands — but increasingly unscrupulous
wives are abusing them to intimidate or blackmail husbands….
“A man can rot for years while the woman lives happily in the home that the
man’s parents built, ” said Mahesh Tiwari, a (happily married) New Delhi
lawyer who works for the Foundation. “And he can go bankrupt fighting the
case in the courts.”….
…Sadhana Ramachandran, a female lawyer in the capital who used to take
up women’s cases, has changed her mind after becoming disillusioned with
women abusing the laws.
“I have known innocent, decent men put in jail by women because they want
custody of the children or the house. I’ve seen men turned into mental
wrecks fighting these cases because cases in India can take 20 years,
ruining your life,” she said. (Full Story)

Syphilis is back, especially among gay men with HIV
December 29, 2007 by Walter Schneider.
By Maria Cheng AP Medical Writer, Dec 27, 2007,
European doctors, researchers say alarming resurgence of disease once thought eradicated could be tied to ‘safe sex fatigue’
“Syphilis used to be a very rare disease,” said Dr. Marita van de Laar, an expert in sexually transmitted diseases at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. “I’m not sure we can say that anymore.”
…In 2000, syphilis infection rates were so low that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention embarked on a plan to eliminate the disease. But about 9,800 cases were reported in 2006.
In Europe, Van de Laar said syphilis’ reappearance was so surprising that many doctors initially had trouble diagnosing it.
Though these days it mainly affects urban gay men, experts worry that the disease could also rebound in the general population if stronger efforts to fight it are not taken soon….(Full Story)

Demographic Winter
December 28, 2007 by Walter Schneider.
How to Take the Chill Out of Demographic Winter
A speech by Don Feder to the New Generation Church, Riga, Latvia, November Nov. 15, 2007
….In half-a-century or less, Europe will be populated by strangers — who will wander by the continent’s cathedrals, museums, statues and battlefield monuments wondering what it all meant.
This catastrophe in the making can be most clearly seen in Russia. What Lenin, Stalin and Hitler failed to accomplish, the Russian people are doing to themselves. You might call it auto-genocide.
In Russia, the fertility rate is 1.17 (down from 2.4 in 1990, a decline of over 50%). Russia is losing three-quarters of a million people a year. Its current population of 145 million is expected to be reduced by a third by 2050. In Russia today, almost as many children are aborted as are born alive (1.5 million to 1.6 million)….
In terms of population replacement, Europe is going out of business. Of the 10 nations with the lowest fertility rates worldwide, 9 are in Europe. No European nation has anything approaching a replacement-level birthrate.
Overall, the European fertility rate is 1.3. (Remember, a fertility rate of 2.1 is needed just to maintain stability — no growth and no decline). Italy’s fertility rate is 1.2 — meaning that in the not-too-distant future, absent immigration, Italy will lose almost half of its people in every generation.
The average Italian child born today won’t have brothers or sisters. Most also won’t have cousins, aunts or uncles. Demographic winter is a lonely, as well as a chilly, place….

Condoms do not protect against all STDs
December 27, 2007 by Walter Schneider.
Condoms are not safe and do not protect against many sexually transmitted diseases.
Unfortunately, the promised safety of condoms is an illusion and a false promise.
Here is a partial list of STDs that condoms do not and cannot protect anyone from contracting.
- Human Papillomavirus
- HIV infections — “And it’s not as if governments don’t know. A study by Dr. R.F. Carey of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control reported in the same period that “leakage of HIV-sized particles through latex condoms [is] detectable for as many as 29 of 89 condoms tested.” These were brand new, pre-approved condoms. But Roland says a closer reading of Carey’s data actually yields a 78% HIV-leakage rate, ….As one U.S. surgeon memorably put it, “The HIV virus can go through a condom like a bullet through a tennis net.”….Handing a student a condom to protect against AIDS is like giving him an overcoat to walk across a battlefield. Meanwhile, strict avoidance of sex with infected partners gives a 5,000-fold increase in protection.” (Source: Condomania, by William Gairdner)
Fathers for Life contains many pages that mention the drive by government officials and other advocates of sexual “freedom” to promote the use of condoms to protect against the transmission of sexually-transmitted deseases.
The appropriate web pages of Fathers for Life have been updated to protect the innocent from being deluded.

ALL MEN NEED TO BE LOVED SOME HOW
GARY
Hello Gary,
You are worried because you suffer to some extent from commitment phobia, but your fears are definitely far greater than warranted. I installed a few links in my response to your message. Follow those links to able to dispel some of your misperceptions.
For one thing, you have some misperceptions about the demographics in Ukraine. I don’t know what you base your claim on that there are nine women for every man in Ukraine. If those demographics were true, you should truly worry about picking a wife from there. After all, what happened to the other eight men in every nine if there is so much love and respect for men in Ukraine?
Gain a better idea of the distribution of the sexes in Ukraine. Even though the difference in the life expectancies of the sexes in Ukraine (see Table B) is heavily skewed in favour of women, the population of men in Ukraine is roughly ten times larger than you claim it is.
You should worry about whether any man who marries a Ukrainian women is due to kill himself. The suicide rate of Ukrainian men is the eleventh-highest of all countries in the whole world.
Given that I live in an area that became heavily populated by Ukrainian immigrants, I know quite a few women of Ukrainian origin and am even married to one. I have no thoughts of committing suicide, but I knew a good number of men - Ukrainian and otherwise - who were married to Ukrainian women and did commit suicide right here in Canada, quite a few of them due to troubles they had with their wives. However, that does not prove that they were more likely to commit suicide than the suicide rates for Canadian men indicate.
Then there is your claim that the disdain for men in our society comes from mothers arguing with their husbands in front of their daughters. If that were the sole or major reason for disdain for men, then the solution would be to pick a wife from a family in which the mother never argued with her husband in front of her daughter. It would not be a good solution to pick a wife who is the daughter of a single mother who disdained men and the father of her daughter so much that she chose to remain single, because the absence of a father does not indicate that such a mother respects men. However, I am largely kidding.
Your over-estimation the impact that mothers who argue with their husbands in front of their daughters have on their daughters is due to you apparently totally ignoring the impact of feminist social engineering in education and in the media. Boys, girls, men and women are affected to a very large extent by the feminist-controlled and -designed information and indoctrination they receive through school, TV, radio (through programs and commercials), in the print media and all others. Have you not paid any attention? Does familiarity breed contempt in your case? If so, it stands to reason that you missed the fact that one of the major aims of feminism is to destroy the institution of the family, thereby to eradicate the influence that parents have on their children. Not parents, but now peers — and the imprinting and brainwashing they receive through the education system and through the media, are the controlling influence on the psyche of individuals.
It is a good idea for any man not to fall in love with any woman unless he knows for sure and through personal observation how she treats the men in her life, so that he gains an idea of how he will eventually be treated. To give you some sense of direction for choosing a prospective wife, read our advice on that issue:
Don’t confuse love with lust. Make sure that when you get an erection you don’t lose your mind. Always think of the consequences. Is she someone you would want to face across the breakfast table ten years down the road? Is she the woman who’ll be the best possible mother to your children?
Whether you’ll still be together ten years from now or not, you are trusting her with all you’ve got, your genes, with more than half of all you’ll be able to earn for the rest of your life, and with your physical and emotional health. Will she be worthy of all of that?
Love is a commitment to someone else. It won’t work if it is one-sided. Love will thrive only if there are mutual respect and common goals. The best possible goal is for both of you to devote your lives to your children. Will both of you be willing to do that forever?
Be careful. If there is anything that makes you feel sorry for your partner, don’t assume that you’ll be able to fix any of the problems she is suffering from. The most likely outcome will be that things will get worse over time, regardless of what you try. If she’s untrustworthy now, she’ll be more so as time goes by. If she speaks badly of others, chances are good that she’ll come to speak badly of you. If she cheats with you, it’s likely that she’ll cheat on you as time goes by. If she’s selfish now, she’ll most likely not be able to be generous to you or your children. If she is a spendthrift now, she’ll become worse as time goes by and your income increases. That will cause your marriage to suffer from the enormous stress of always having too much month left at the end of the paycheque.
You can tell a lot by observing how she deals with her friends and relatives. If she respects and loves them, she’ll be capable of respecting and loving you and your children, provided you deserve that love and respect. However, if she is selfish and demands her rights to entitlements without feeling obligated to others at least to an equal extent, you’ll most likely be no more than an indentured wage slave to her as time goes on. Not only that, but the courts will hold you to that responsibility whether you are married or not, regardless of whether your children are allowed to see you or not, even — whether you know or not — regardless of whether the children are yours or not.—Ruth and Walter Schneider

It is true that women in non-western nations appreciate western men for their “respect and chivalry” for women. However, you must realize that those characteristics of western men are largely due to centuries and perhaps thousands of years of the feminization of men in the West (according to Aristotle, they were, for example, a major cause of the demise of Sparta).
It is quite possible that what women elsewhere see as being desirable in western men will soon come to be seen by them as a despicable weakness.
The reality of the consequences of that is that bi-national marriages are more likely to end in divorce, the more so the greater the cultural, religious and language differences are between the two partners in marriage.
All the best,
Walter Schneider

When motherhood gets you jail time
December 26, 2007 by Walter Schneider.
“When motherhood gets you jail time” (a Dec. 19, 2007 TIME Story) and “Choosing jail over joint custody” (also a Dec. 19, 2007 TIME Story) comprise a two-part series.
The first of those stories was ranked this morning the most popular story, most-often e-mailed-by-readers-of-Time. Half an hour later, at 8:30 a.m., the rank for the story had dropped to 3rd place in the list, right after “Who Is Killing Mexico’s Musicians?” and “Spain’s Holiday Cry: Down With Santa!”.
Given the high level of interest in the price to be paid for motherhood, it is important to note that “When motherhood gets you jail time” is a misnomer.
Still, even though inaccurate, that headline was a good choice by TIME, a choice that was bound to manufacture concern for the mother (who nevertheless wants to use her motherhood for criminal intents) and accounted for the story’s high popularity ranking. The second story with the more objective and mundane title “Choosing jail over joint custody” evoked far less concern and resulted in the second story not even ranking in the TIME’s top-25 list.
Yes, motherhood, apple pie and women’s sole right to possession of their children do it every time, they turn criminals into saints. Women’s obligations and the rights of children and fathers come in distant last.
The mother for whom the TIME manufactered concern chose jail over revealing the whereabouts of a son to the boy’s alleged father. The mother had apparently thought that having a child, if not through immaculate conception but then at least without a father being a part of that child’s life (she even decided that the boy should not have his alleged father’s name) entitled her to government support payments. It normally would, but in Wisconsin not without a paternity test having been done to ascertain that the fingered man is actually the biological father of that boy she had.
The two stories in TIME, neither the popular first one nor the unpopular second one whose headline proclaimed that the budding welfare mom is breaking the law by interfering with a court order, did not report whether the expunged father is in truth the biological father or whether DNA tests proving his paternity were even done.
That would seem to be an extremely important issue from a practical viewpoint, but from the perspective of sainted motherhood, apple pie and Christmas it is not.
Let’s get real. The mother should be in jail at least until she quits breaking the law. Society should be kept safe from such women. It is unfortunate that it costs far more to keep such a welfare mom in jail than it does to simply put her on the dole, but in the long run it would be far cheaper for society to jail her and to keep her there until she no longer engages in her crime of defying a court order that grants a father access to his child. It seems that the vast majority of women would choose freedom of movement over their perceived right to choose to refuse to comply with court orders that grant visitation rights to alleged or real fathers of children.
The name of the criminal mother is April Griffin, not Virgin Mary. No amount of manufacturing concern by Time or by anyone else will change that.
Nevertheless, we should get to know whether the alleged father of the adamantly hidden child is truly the bio-dad. On average, chances are one in three that he isn’t. That is not just a minor detail, it is the major issue in the case. Could that be the reason why April Griffin is hiding the boy — to avoid incriminating herself in having committed the crime of paternity fraud?

The media
December 24, 2007 by Walter Schneider.
In making the required updates to finish the reformating of the website of Fathers for Life, I discovered an important omission. The Table of Contents for Media Issues was missing. I added that ToC now to cover,
The media, media giants, media industry, media prostitution and other media issues
Thousands of media messages bombard the mind of every individual each day throughout his life. No one can avoid being indoctrinated, even brainwashed by them, by what he reads on bill boards and in the newspapers or sees and hears in programs and advertisements on radio and TV. That process goes on from cradle to grave, every day, incessantly and intrusively — so much so that the vast majority of people no longer even notices that is going on.
Media issues pervade the web pages of Fathers for Life. That cannot be avoided. The news-, newspaper-, broadcast- and publishing media are the vehicle by means of which the war against families and fathers is brought to where it counts and is made to work, in our minds.
Of course, the media could also be used to promote family values and respect for men and fathers. That would give us once more a healthy and productive society, but that is not what the family-hostile ideology that controls our media wants.

Rachel Marsden, stalker of the week
December 24, 2007 by Walter Schneider.
Once a liar, always a liar
Rachel Marsden, the Canadian radical-feminist “journalist” who made it into American journalism (recently escorted out of Fox TV), in spite of (or perhaps on account of) her long record of false allegations of having been date-raped or stalked by figures of authority made it into the news again — well, sort of.
Canada’s National Post reported (Dec. 20, 2007) on Rachel Marsden’s latest allegation of having been stalked by an individual official in a long series of such allegations against a number of individuals throughout much of Rachel Marsden’s last 15 years or so of her life.
Going by the descriptions of various incidents in which Rachel Marsden embroiled herself and her victims, those incidents appear to serve no other purpose than to promote Rachel Marsden through her own reports of her sexually explicit conduct that seems to have the appearance of her taking her clothes off in bedrooms, hotel rooms, motel rooms and other compromising circumstances in the presence of men whom she wishes to use in public controversies in whom she falsely alleges to have been date-raped or stalked, even though she turned out to be the real stalker in every single case.
Rachel Marsden must be getting a bit long in the tooth, and surely the attractiveness of her “assets” must have become a bit dilapidated by now. Nevertheless, she continues to gather items of her version of the journalistic truth by luring officials into compromising situations, or at least she alleges that she does.
She has seriously harmed the careers of a number of men over the years and appears to be a career-risk of the first order. It seems that it would be a wise thing for any man to stay away from her as far as possible, but that appears to be impossible for the men she targets for false allegations of date rape and stalking as the means by which to gain notoriety.
Why not? It appears to be panning out for Rachel Marsden. Pardon the pun, but the conclusion is unavoidable, it pays for some women to use what they sit on — in whatever fashion — for a gold mine.
