dr_rythm, you are right again. We must also realise that when men are being slandered, ridiculed, discriminated against and even actively persecuted, all of society - all women too - will suffer serious consequences.

In case you haven't seen them yet, you may wish to look up these articles that go into that in more depth.

Walter, thanks for that. There are many aspects to this subject which you have kindly pointed out. I have also come to believe that despite the fact that men are enduring a relentless attack on their identity from multiple sources, the age of chivalry is not quite dead yet. Men still have an in built instinct to protect the "weaker" sex, which inhibits us from fighting back, either physically or verbally. For the benefit of our children and society it's time to take the gloves off and retaliate against these psychological terrorists.

dr_rythm, you are right. Men are less likely than women to report DV incidents. That has been confirmed through numerous studies.
However there are other important reasons why men can't win any arguments about DV.

1.) The feminist carefully picked their battleground. The propaganda war against men, fueled by largely false and misleading DV stats, has been going on for so long that no one notices anymore that DV includes people other than women (or men) as victims. Children are the forgotten victims.
Violence against children in "families" is DV, too. Vastly more children than women are being hurt in DV. The feminists don't talk about that. The main reason for their silence is that in 70% of cases of serious or fatal violence against children in families women are involved as the perpetrators. In spite of that, DV is now seen as violence (by men, of course) against women.
One could argue, and many feminists do, that an all-female society will be a peaceful one. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Lesbian relationships are on average far more violent than heterosexual relationships.
2.) The focus on violence by women diverts attention from where attention is due. By all measures of violence, men are about twice as often the victims than women are.
3.) Lack of reporting by men will not change the tactics used by feminists, who will simply counter by claiming greater numbers of women who don't report violence against them. In that fashion reality no longer counts, and perceptions are all that matters to smart propagandists.
4.) If facts were to count, the only things that would matter in DV are the victims and the numbers of those who are convicted for hurting their victims. The reality of those facts is that women can get away with murder, the more likely the more defenceless their victims are.
5.) Women are less likely than men to be suspected, to be accused, to be brought to trial, to be convicted, to be sentenced to equally severe sentences for crimes of equal severity, to have to serve all of their sentences. They are even less likely to have aggravated assault or murders they commit considered to be what those are. "Self defence" excuses much, it even turns the murder of children into "infanticide", a category of crime available only to women.
When a woman kills a child, if all other excuses fail, she can always claim that her inner demons or the devil made her do it. A man always goes to prison for committing the murder of a child, as he should, but so should a woman who does so, for just as long.

A short story to explain why the statistics on male victims of violence are inaccurate. Yesterday a friend and work colleague who I shall refer to as X, telephoned me to describe what happened to him on holiday in Portugal. He was still in shock as he told me about being led away from a bar under threat of violence by a huge "woman" who he suspected was a transvestite. My friend X is an ex doorman and bouncer but is now suffering from chronic asthma, which explains why he could not run away from this person. He was taken to a small flat where he met a young girl. The big "woman" and the young girl sexually abused him and humiliated him for hours and then led him to a cash point to obtain money from him. He was then taken back to the flat but escaped by feigning an asthma attack which frightened the abusers into phoning an ambulance. When the ambulance arrived the two strangers acted as though they were very concerned and assisted him to the ambulance.

When my friend X was recalling the incident to me, he was trying to come to terms with what had happened to him and was clearly still suffering from the after effects of this attack. Now the reason for telling this story to you is to explain why my friend did not go to the Portugese police. He said he did not think he would be believed. He also said he thought the police would laugh at him and there was no point in reporting the incident. One has to wonder what the statistics would reveal if all male victims of violence and sexual abuse came forward, in the same way that females do at the slightest provocation?
